I will be facilitating Breast Cancer Now's Living with secondary breast cancer support group, starting in Liverpool at the end of November. If you are living with secondary breast cancer or someone you know is, get in touch with to book on. This is the first group of its kind in Liverpool for 5 years and a much needed support for people living with this terrible disease. I will share the date when it's all confirmed with the venue. Those who know me, and especially those who trained with me, will know how much I struggled to believe I was capable of achieving academic success. Over the last 10years Ive done one course after the other, each time being gobsmacked that I'd gotten through it and PASSED. Feeling lucky that I was 'winging it'! Even when I completed the Level 5s, I was shocked.
But this time was different... this time, I knew I could do it. I couldn't deny the evidence stacked up in favour to say it was possible for me. Im really proud to say that I have successfully achieved a Level 6 in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision, which is a degree with honours equivalent qualification!!
Never did I think this was possible, but I had a bit of hope, showed up for myself, and just tried. Who knows what we're capable of if we remove the glass ceiling we put on ourselves and just give it a go!!
Every day, I get to work in my dream career, helping people to achieve what they think is impossible and witnessing how they turn their lives around. It all starts with just a bit of hope, showing up for yourself, and trying.###

What will you do for self care this weekend?? As my clients know, I often say, "An empty sack doesn't stand!" If you aren't balancing your life with some joy, burnout quickly follows. Invest in yourself by taking care of your needs, too.x

So many people forget to show themselves the same consideration they give to others, and then need scraping off the floor, as they're so burnt out. Save yourself the hardship and begin to look after yourself better. Make sure you're also on your priority list, whilst you have the choice. Xx

Even though there are different types of su***de ideation, ALL are valid. Any thoughts of su***de should be taken seriously, seek help from those around you or your GP. Revealing the dark thoughts by bringing them into the light and sharing them means you have taken a step on the path to recovery.😌
