There have been several cases of measles locally. If you have a child aged 6-12 months who has been exposed to a confirmed case of measles please get in touch and we can arrange an early MMR vaccination.

A note from Dr Kerry Marson

After 25 years of working in Woolton House Medical Centre, I will be retiring on the 31st March 2025. It has been an honour and a privilege to serve the people of Woolton and its surrounding areas, and to work alongside my dedicated colleagues in Woolton House Medical Centre.

From the cleaning staff, to my fellow clinicians, I leave behind a hard working team, committed to improving the health and welfare of our local community.

And with the development of the practice building, I am confident that the practice will go from strength to strength as it moved into its next chapter.

I will miss all of you, some of whom I have known for over 20 years. But I'm sure you will see me shopping in the village or wondering around the farmers market. And I wont be a stranger, you may even see me tending to the window boxes or the pots in the courtyard!

And a final thank you to all the staff and patients at Woolton House Medical Centre for making the last 25 years of my working life a memorable and fulfilling experience. I leave you in capable hands.

EXCITING BUILDING REDEVELOPMENT NEWS JANUARY 2025

We are happy to announce that in January 2025, we are planning to start replacing our old conservatory building with a modern glazed link, featuring a new reception desk at the rear and a modern, more open downstairs waiting area. The build will give better access with sliding front doors and new toilet/disabled toilet facilities. Velux windows will provide more natural lighting.

The plans are attached.

It will be business as usual of course, but access will be via the side door off the courtyard. The booking in desk at reception will be temporarily relocated.

There may be further redevelopment of the practice to add more consultation rooms and modernise the rest of the building in the coming years, dependent on government funding.

We hope all of this will help to make the patient experience a better one as we bring our building into 21st century NHS premises.

Due to a local gas leak and under the instruction of attending fire service personnel Woolton House premises has had to evacuate. We are therefore closed slightly earlier than the usual 6:30pm.
We apologise for any inconvenience, but this situation is beyond our control.
If you require urgent medical assistance please call 111, use local walk in centre or in an emergency 999/attend A&E.
