Mersey Care is planning two Community Appointment Days for patients within the Musculoskeletal Service across Knowsley and St Helens.

• Knowsley 2 July: Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park, Longview Drive, Liverpool L36 6EG
• St Helens 6 August: Sutton Leisure Centre Elton Head Road, Sutton, St Helens, England, WA9 5AU

This will enable patients to attend a community location where they can discuss their needs with MSK clinicians, physiotherapists, AHPs, charities, voluntary services and other community services.

It will promote a holistic care approach for patients within the MSK service, including supporting patients beyond their condition.

The purpose of the day is to provide patient services differently, removing some of the constraints that exist in the normal working day and making changes to help people cope with long term conditions.

The appointment days are an opportunity for patients who have been referred to Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust’s MSK services in St Helens or Knowsley for assessment or rehabilitation advice to receive health promotion, community and voluntary sector support all in one appointment.

🚨 Measles is now circulating in Knowsley. 🚨

📢 Please do NOT attend the practice in person if you have a fever AND a red-brown rash (with spots which may join to form blotches – usually beginning on the head and then spreading down onto the trunk, arms and legs). 📢

If you have these symptoms when contacting us for an appointment, please inform the Receptionist for the necessary arrangements to be made for you to be examined safely.

People with measles are infectious for four days before the rash appears, and for four days afterwards (the day the rash starts is ‘Day 0’). People with measles must isolate at home during this period.

Find out about measles, a highly infectious viral illness that can be very unpleasant and sometimes lead to serious complications.

From 2nd July 2025, both Wingate Medical Centre and Millbrook Medical Centre will be working in collaboration to deliver a Women’s Health Hub.

This is available to all patients across Kirkby needing or requiring Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive services i.e implants and coils.

You are able to self-refer into the service by accessing the referral form on either Wingate’s or Millbrook’s website.

The referral form you choose will determine the location of your appointment. 📍 You do not have to be a patient at either practice to complete the form. ✅
