This project was set up with the help of Community Funding from The National Lottery, donations from our supporters and time, effort and passion donated by our volunteers. If you need help or advice about dementia, please contact us and we will make every effort to provide you with the information you need, or, refer you to those who can. Welcome Me is being lead by Retain Wellbeing CIC, a not for profit Community Integrated Company. Retain Wellbeing CIC has been in operation serving the community since 2016. Their vision is to prevent isolation and loneliness in adults. To reduce the stigma around mental health and dementia and to create communities which recognise their assets and value everyone for their contribution. To help us continue with this vision, please visit www.easyfundraising.org.uk and select Retain Wellbeing CIC as your beneficiary. Every time you go through this web site to purchase items on line, we will get a donation from the company you shopped with at no cost to you!

He might not wear a cape or un**es on the outside but that doesn't stop our Neil being Superman in our eyes!
Neil recently took part in the Liverpool to Chester return (!) bike race and collected a whopping £550 in sponsorship for our groups! 🤩🤩🤩 What an absolute superstar!
We will put the money towards all the boring but essential things that grants don't cover, such as insurance!
Thank you Neil, you smashed it!

We had a lovely time at WelcomeMe today.
There was the choice of either making a bicycle greetings card (picture in comments as Facebook won't let us upload mixed media grrr) or exercising our brains with a game of countdown.
Whatever choice was made, we all had a brilliant afternoon

Phew! What a scorcher 🌞
What else could we have done today except make fans, sup chilled juice and have a jolly good natter about anything that came to mind.
Sometimes it's the simple things that bring the most pleasure.

This week was all about coordination and working as a team.
We started off aiming to get the coloured balls on the matching segment of the parachute. Then we all worked together to roll a ball around the edge.
Next up was bouncing balls into the pots. Sounds easy but the balls seemed to have a mind of their own 😂
(Videos are in the comments)

There was plenty of laughter today.

We've been proper adventures this week! We took advantage of the weather to take a short stroll round the path by the Hooton Village Memorial Hall . Spending time looking at plants, looking them up to find out names and what uses they have as well as listening to the many birds was very peaceful.
Do you have memory difficulties? Fancy hanging out with great people once per week? Then contact Caroline on 07407620943 info@retainwellbeing.co.uk and she will tell you all about it.
