Today, we had a visit from Chris at Hidden Liverpool: a fantastic local historian and tour guide! Our members were treated to an afternoon learning about Liverpool myths and took part in an interactive quiz about Liverpool old wives' tales. We will definitely be inviting Chris back in the near future for more fascinating presentations! The day was rounded up with some fantastic performances in our drama club and our brand new Rhythm and Riffs guitar club! Another jam-packed day at Sean’s Place ❤️

Following feedback from our members, we launched our brand new First Steps to Fitness session for those who want to feel physically healthier but may be apprehensive. We launch our new chair based exercise session later this month, too.
The session had such a great atmosphere, and we are so proud of everyone who took part. 💫

Massive thank you to Cadgrange Ltd, who kindly supported us with the build and installation of our brand new bike shed completely free of charge. This invaluable support means more men can attend our service knowing their bikes will be safely stored during their appointments whilst removing the barrier of costs of travel for many too.
Thank you to Tony, Brian, and the team at Cadgrange for their incredible support. ❤️

We were proud to represent Sean's Place in the Houses of Parliament again today at the APPG for su***de and self-harm prevention. We heard incredible stories of hope from two inspiring representatives from Papyrus and discussed with the minister for mental health and Liz Twist MP the updates from the 5-year su***de prevention strategy. We also heard the importance of preventative early intervention support and the need for more sustainable funding to protect the services who provide this support. The conversations highlighted the important need to continue our work at Sean's Place. ❤️

This International Women's Day, we want to celebrate the army of inspirational women who keep Sean's Place an incredibly special place to be. Every day they bring knowlege, skill, compassion, empathy and kindness into our service and because of them, so many people now live healthier, happier lives.
Thank you to our staff, our volunteers, our board and ambassador. We also are so lucky to be supported by inspirational students, patrons and funders who play a crucial part in the work we do and we are so thankful for them too. It's not the building and the processes that makes our work so special, it's the people within it and we are blessed to be surrounded by the absolute best there is. 🌟
May we know them, may be raise them, may we be them ❤️

Today, we were at St Michael’s High School delivering our 10 Weeks Strong Mind Empowerment Programme 💪🧠

This week we focused on anxiety, what it really is, where it comes from, and breaking the stigma around it.

Every single one of them opened up and shared their own experiences today. This doesn’t happen by accident that happens when young men feel safe enough to speak. 🙌

We are so proud of you all 💫

Today was really special. Our inclusive riding session saw members of our service who live with a range of physical challenges confidently enjoy cycling together today. The journey for some of these guys is incredible, and we couldn't be prouder of them all. Special thanks to our ride leaders who helped make today possible. ❤️

Today we welcomed 22 teenage boys into The Nest to begin our 10-week Strong Mind Empowerment Programme.

We were at Crosby High School in the morning and at Sean’s Place this afternoon, too, for our mixed session.

Today’s focus was powerful:
🧠 How the words we say about ourselves create our world
🧠 Understanding overthinking and recognising that if we can overthink the worst, we can also train our minds to imagine the best
🧠 A self-realisation exercise around bullying and disrespect
🧠 A strengths module to help the boys recognise what’s already good within them
🧠 Social media, dopamine, and the difference between external validation and real confidence

We are so proud of every single boy who walked through those doors today.

We never place expectations on the boys. We believe they are good enough exactly as they are. There is no pressure, just support, growth, honesty, and a safe space to build strong minds together.
