I was lucky enough over the weekend to attend Menopause in Aesthetics 2024, one of the biggest conferences acknowledging menopause and it’s devastating impact on women’s lives. Highlighting all the things that we can do to move forward, advancing the care we provide and really empower women to seek assistance for all of the symptoms of menopause.
Menopause was one of the most talked about health topics of 2023, with women taking charge of their bodies, rights and lives to demand better support and a deeper understanding in the workplace, media and at a Government level.
With the majority of patients visiting aesthetic clinics being in their 40s and 50s, practitioners are well placed to take the services they offer these women to the next level.
And with so many peri- and post-menopausal women reporting difficulty accessing support through their GPs, more and more aesthetic clinics have the opportunity to expand their services beyond merely treating the skin-related impact of menopause.
