For the past 3 weeks I have been working and helping out at Rose Lane Sport Clinic providing rehab sessions, massages and sporting treatments. I am fully booked for tomorrow however have one last appointment available at 3:45🫶

Prices are as follows:
30 minute massage= £20
45 minute massage= £25

AFC Liverpool vs FC St Helens ⚽️❤️

Here I am approaching one of the players who had, had a head clash with one of the opponents players. Following assessment, He was able to continue playing on🙌, upon entering the pitch it is so important to keep contact with the player including speaking to them so they are aware what you are carrying out and also responding to yourself aswell!⚽️

Yesterday I undertook my FA Level 1 First Aid.

The subjects in which were covered during the session were:
• Role of First Aider
•Breathing, circulation, danger, dysfunction
•Delivering CPR
•Medical emergencies
•Asthma: signs and symptoms
•Concussion

It was very interesting to learn about these due to them potentially happening on a day to day basis. First Aid is an essential qualification when wanting to go into the sporting sector and learning how to deal with different situations at a time or at once.

I have attached some notes which i found useful along the course and wanted to share them with yourselves!

Placement at AFC Liverpool vs Prestwich Hayes last night⚽️

Pre Match: Massaged lower back, calves, hamstrings and quads. This massage was quite intense due to being pre match and the player in the starting 11.

Post Match: Massaged lower back, calves. This massage was slower than before due to the purpose of getting rid of the bodies metabolic acid (most commonly known as lactic acid). It is to prevent soreness.

Football is a fast, high energy sport and so injuries are common. Above are a list of injuries that most commonly occur for football players ⚽️

You might get a football injury from:
*tackling
*running
*twisting or turning
*jumping or landing
*using same muscles repeatedly (overuse/fatigue)
*reinjury
*foul play or colliding with an opponent

You are also more likely to become injured during a competitive match than during training sessions.

Hello my name is Beth Fowlie, I am 21 years old and I am currently studying Sport Rehabilitation at Liverpool Hope University. My passion for sport has always been massive ever since the age of 12 which was when i first started playing for a football team and finding an interest in it. At the moment I play football for my university team!

Before University, I studied at LLS which is a sport based college based on the Wirral. I undertook a BTEC Level 3 Diploma, the outcome of the degree was D*D*D🥳

My dream has been to have my own business and this dream has come true🤍
