Last working day of the year 🥰🎅🏼✨

What another boss year I’ve had treating you all, old and new clients and making friends along the way ☺️

Thank you always for choosing me to treat you and trusting me to look after you & your injuries, I can’t wait to see you all in the New Year ✨

APRIL IS C SECTION AWARENESS MONTH 🩷🚺

I have personally experienced both C Section and a Vaginal Birth & here are some of my thoughts before I went through my C Section last year:

🤍The thought of major surgery for the first time in my life - I was absolutely terrified and probs cried most days beforehand 😅😂

🤍That constant thought of am I ever gonna ‘bounce back’ whatever this even means 🤷🏼‍♀️

🤍Second guessing my knowledge in Women’s Health even though I knew a section was the best outcome for me due to previous birth
🤍Wondering - Am I doing the right thing? What if it goes wrong? What if I don’t recover and I won’t be able to train how I did before?

These are all totally normal thoughts 💭⬆️

What actually happened post baby’s safe arrival:

🩷 I listened to my body and I was able to move as little and as often to begin with - more than what I thought I would be able too

🩷I made sure I tried have a balanced diet most of the time and drank plenty of water - this helped with the dreaded constipation 🫣🍎🥝🥦🌾

🩷I continued with my pelvic floor exercises pretty much straight after birth and really focused on my breathing whist doing this and in general

🩷I braved the scar and looked at it straight away, not gonna lie at first I was like ooooer 😂🫣 but I decided to embrace it and started using silicone patches post 6 weeks - which made such a difference 💯

🩷I got myself in with Sarah (the best) at for a Natal Check when I was 8 weeks PP

🩷I went back to light exercise 6 weeks post surgery

🩷I use to help with the scar healing

This was RIGHT for me - I wasn’t too hard on myself & I did have a really good pregnancy which my body allowed me to train throughout 🏋🏼‍♀️

I 💯 believe that this has helped aid my recovery this time round & special thanks to my gym fam who allowed me to crack on with my normal training throughout - I had nerves gone on a daily 😂🫶🏻

Fast forward ⏩ 6 months Post C Section I competed in the Winter Turf Games 💪🏼

Don’t let a ‘scar’ define who you are ❤️
