🎶 RG, a child supported by Amore Complex Care North West, took part in a music therapy session at his school led by Nordoff and Robbins, with a visit from former England footballers, Gary Lineker and Jill Scott MBE.

Reflecting on the session, Jill shared:
“What I felt was like this real interaction through the eyes, the smiles, touch. It was so incredible, such a warmth and a great energy.”

Moments like these show how the right support and specialist partnerships can help children access education in ways that work for them.

🎓 Huge congratulations to Sam on an incredible achievement!

We’re proud to share that Sam Rigby, Senior Complex Care Case Officer, has successfully achieved her Level 7 Diploma in Health and Social Care.

Sam told us she genuinely enjoyed the studying and learning involved - which comes as no surprise with a Level 5 qualification from last year and multiple Level 3 diplomas already under her belt!

💙 Supporting individuals with complex needs takes a clinically-led approach and behavioural expertise.

At Amore Complex Care, we work closely with Case Managers to deliver tailored support packages that help individuals live safely and as independently as possible at home.

From transparent communication and timely reporting to robust training, clinical oversight and real-time visibility through our digital care planning systems, we provide the reassurance and responsiveness case management companies need.

A post-referral meeting with you and your client, where appropriate, will lead to the agreement process. After this, we will build the care plan, recruitment and commence weekly visits. Our Meet and Greet service ensures a strong relationship from the outset.

Making feel a whole lot brighter! 🔆

Today and every day, we’re encouraging our Support Workers to prioritise their own wellbeing and to share these healthy habits with the people you support. Simple steps like eating a healthy diet, getting good sleep, moving your body, taking regular breaks and making time for reflection can make a real difference.

😄 Support is always here for all our staff - through our Mental Health First Aiders, debriefs with our PBS Lead, and for everyone, 24/7 support lines like the Samaritans.

🎉We are delighted to announce that we are a core provider member of the Challenging Behaviour National Steering Group (CB-NSG)!

Established by the The Challenging Behaviour Foundation, this national group brings together a small number of providers like ourselves alongside carers, practitioners, researchers, and people with learning disabilities.

We are honoured to collaborate with this network, sharing best practice, evidence, and adapting our approach to the lived experience of people with learning disabilities and behaviours of concern.

⭐Our application was led by Jasmine Wood, our Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) Lead, who is delighted to contribute to the Steering Group and learn from fellow experts. Throughout it all, we will raise awareness of PBS and the meaningful involvement of individuals and their families within their care.

We are passionate about ensuring that all our clients have their voices heard - the prospect of contributing to national and regional governmental plans while we champion PBS is an exciting one!

🤔What is an Advance Care Plan?

If you’re new to the care sector - or you are looking to support a loved one - you may have come across the term 'advance care plan'.

This is a plan made in advance for an individual’s care preferences, guiding healthcare professionals and Support Workers on the person’s preferences, dislikes and goals.

An advance care plan is about choice, dignity, and putting the person at the centre of their care.

Through regular reviews, these plans help us to ensure our clients' wishes, preferences, and values are understood and respected - now and in the future.

🥳It's the first Fun Friday of the year!

Our Complex Care client ET has been busy making memories - this time exploring the vibrant streets of Amsterdam! Her adventure began long before take-off, with ET and her support team researching and planning their itinerary. Emily Clark, Case Officer, stated: "They created a flexible itinerary that balanced sightseeing with leisure".

💚One of the standout moments? A deliciously fun stroopwafel workshop, where ET learned how the warm, caramel-filled treats are made and tasted them straight off the press.

Afterward, she wandered the city alongside Support Worker, Rebecca Nelson, soaking up the atmosphere.

We want to thank Rebecca for coming along with ET, as well as her support team for giving a helping hand to plan the holiday abroad. We’re so proud to support ET as she continues to explore the world and try new experiences! 🌟
