Planning a holiday?

The skies are a little grey today, so a lot of people are dreaming of their summer holiday (please note, holidays to sunnier climates are not available on prescription 😉)

We have received notification that there has been a measles outbreak in a local primary school. During the Easter holidays children will often mix with others from outside their normal social circles and may increase the risk of spread outside of this original school setting.
The best way you can protect your child is by ensuring they have had two doses of the measles vaccination (typically given as MMR aged 12 months and again at 18months).
You can check yours or your child’s vaccine status via the NHS App or if you are unable, by speaking to our reception team.
Anybody who is unvaccinated can be considered for a catch-up vaccination and we would be happy to book you in with our nurse.

What happens next with your NHS Healthy Start payments?

You don’t need to do anything! If you're eligible, the change will happen automatically.

We are currently experiencing problems with our online forms (Patchs).
Patients have been able to submit requests but we have been unable to view them. We have turned these requests off until we are certain the issue has resolved and we can manage requests safely.

Whilst we remain open and our phone lines are on, we are also aware that some patients are struggling to connect on the phone.

I can reassure you that the surgery is open, we are waiting to help.
We are liaising with IT and are working hard to resolve these IT issues as quickly and safely as possible.

Currently there is an IT problem that is allowing patients to submit requests online, but the surgery can’t access the information.
We are working with NHS IT to resolve this issue but currently we are closed to new requests until we clear the backlog.
We will reopen to new requests once it is safe to do so.

The surgery will be closed from 1pm on Wednesday 30th July for staff training.
All services will be available on Wednesday morning, and resume as normal on Thursday.
If you need a GP whilst we are closed, please call 111.

In June 2,725 patients used PATCHS to book a GP appointment online.
From our practice website www.ellergreenmc.nhs.uk it only takes two clicks to access PATCHS. This service is not only quicker than waiting on the phone, but also frees the phone for patients who can’t get online
