In June 2,725 patients used PATCHS to book a GP appointment online.
From our practice website www.ellergreenmc.nhs.uk it only takes two clicks to access PATCHS. This service is not only quicker than waiting on the phone, but also frees the phone for patients who can’t get online

Measles vaccinations can be given at your GP surgery. If your child is overdue or you have changed your mind about vaccination we have appointments available this week with our nurses.
Call after 10am weekdays when phones are quieter and we will be happy to help

Thank you to everyone for your understanding today following the suspected gas leak.
The practice is now back up and running and it will be business as usual tomorrow.

Various news outlets are currently running reports that weight loss injections will now be available on the NHS via your GP from today.

Prescribing of medications at a local level are governed by ICBs, in our case Cheshire and Merseyside ICB. They have issued the following guidelines which stops the prescribing of these medications for weight loss purposes:

As a practice we are happy to support our patients who are trying to lose weight through various services such as LOSS, but until locally approved, we cannot currently prescribe these medications.

Amazing amount of work done to look after patients this month, but still 126 patients did not keep their appointments.
That’s the equivalent of 31 hours of clinical time (average 15mins per apt).
Whilst we fill our time with other non-patient facing tasks this is time we could be seeing patients who didn’t get an appointment.

If you can’t keep your appointment you can cancel via text for your F2F or via our phone system. Please help us to help you.
