Hey everyone!

Activity Coordinators Toni and Mollie here. We are writing this to see if anyone can help us and our residents out:

Would you like help with some activities within the home?

For example; bringing pets in, donating games or a even bit of time to get involved, perhaps donating something for Valentine's day.

We would appreciate any help and would love to have more involvement from our amazing community. Thank You :D

It seems like Wednesdays are becoming our bingo days lately…

Today we had a lot of fun playing many games of bingo with our amazing residents Joe, Joan, Mary, Kath and Frances.

Everyone loves a good game of bingo, especially when they win (luckily everyone did a few times round)!

Families came by and got involved too which made it even better for everyone😊.

Today Margaret helped activity coordinator Mollie make a cheese 🧀 board for National Cheese Lovers Day!!!

Margaret sang along to some songs on the Alexa while making her creation that she then shared with everyone else🥰.

Thank you for your help Margaret, everyone loved what you made and it was very yummy😋.

Today was our beautiful Alice’s birthday🎁 and we couldn’t be happier to celebrate with her.

Alice’s family were over the moon with the lounge decorations and the cake🎂 was given out while singing happy birthday to her.

All staff got together to celebrate as well as Alice’s family who came along to be with her on her special day.

Happy Birthday Alice, we hope you had an amazing day🎊🎉🥳

Good afternoon everyone!

Toni and I would really appreciate it if we could have some input from our residents' loved ones please.😊

We have been in contact with a company called ‘WeClotheForYou’ who specialise in bringing the shopping experience to care home residents who are unable to go out shopping.

We have spoken about this with our manager and all agree that this could be really beneficial to your family members should you agree.🥰

Since this is a shopping experience, all items are to be bought with prices ranging from £10-£25 for both women’s and men’s wear all season round. Spring🌷and Summer☀️to Autumn🍂and Winter❄️with Christmas and New Year offering glittery outfits for the festive occasions.

Residents personal allowance would need to be topped up or if families wish to come along and share the experience they are more than welcome. ‘WeClotheForYou’ accepts card and cash payments on the day.😍

If you think this is something your loved one would be interested in then please don’t hesitate by letting us know, either by commenting on this post or telling our activity coordinators Mollie and Toni.🩷

We look forward to hopefully sharing this fun day with you all and seeing many smiles on many faces.😃

Today activity coordinator Toni did some jigsaws with our residents William, Anne and Chris in the lounge.

Hand-eye coordination is great to help with stimulation and our residents have really enjoyed themselves helping to build the jigsaw 🧩 smiles all round 😁

A good game of bingo is just what everyone needs sometimes…Sylvia, Eileen, Joan, Josie, May, Barbara and Joe (even some of our staff) enjoyed many games of bingo with Eileen coming out on top 😍 winning a whopping 3 games.

Everybody had an amazing time and were very pleased with their prizes. Josie couldn’t wait to get that chocolate in her mouth and then ask for more😅.

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated to the food bank we started in our home recently!

Today we took 3 bags worth of food to the local food bank to donate and help out a family that may need it.

We will continue to keep our in home basket open to any donations that can be made, we appreciate it. Thank you 😊.
