☀️🎉 Summer Fayre Fun at Damfield Gardens!

Despite a few early showers, the sunshine came just in time for our fabulous Summer Fayre on Saturday, and what a day it was! 🌈

Residents, families, and staff came together for a joyful afternoon filled with live music, delicious food from Apetito, tombolas, stalls, and even face painting for the little ones! 🎤🎨

A huge thank you to our amazing team, generous local businesses, and everyone who joined us. Your support made the day extra special 💛

We are delighted to announce Somy as our Employee of the Quarter. ⭐
Somy ‘s colleagues have described her as caring towards residents, always greeting everyone with a smile, and showing true dedication to her role. Her hard work doesn’t go unnoticed, and her willingness to support colleagues with e-learning and emails is greatly appreciated by the whole team.
Not only that, but her little end-of-shift dance with her colleague Jake at the end of a night shift never fails to lift spirits, it puts smiles on our residents' faces and starts their day in the most positive way.
Congratulations Somy, and thank you for everything you do!

🚴‍♂️ Jon’s Going the Extra Mile for Dementia UK☀️

Jon, whose loved one lives here at Damfield Gardens, has been taking on an incredible challenge this June - cycling to raise funds for Dementia UK. His original goal was 300 miles… but he’s already reached 595 miles and counting!

He’s also raised £983 so far, which means he’s within touching distance of the £1,000 mark.

Jon even took his bike all the way to Girona in Spain for a five-day cycling trip, tackling some serious hills and adding big miles to his total. Now he’s ranked #8 on the fundraising leaderboard and #6 for distance, an amazing effort.

Let’s help him reach that £1,000 milestone and support families facing dementia.

Whether tapping the keys or just enjoying the rhythm, everyone got involved and the room was full of joy! 😊🎵

Yesterday, we came together to remember VE Day with heartfelt stories, shared memories, and plenty of smiles.

The highlight? A fantastic sing-along with our lovely Lucy, bringing music, dancing, and laughter to the whole home! 🎤❤️

🐣🌸 Easter Joy at Damfield Gardens!

We had a wonderful Easter filled with crafting decorations, flower arranging, and a heartwarming visit from our furry friend Cosmo, who never fails to make us smile! 🐾💐

What made this Easter extra special? Our very own Easter chicks! 🐥 We've loved every chirpy cuddle and will truly miss them when they leave us on Friday, it’s been a joy having them here! 💛

🐣 Exciting News at Damfield Gardens! 🐥💛

Yesterday, we received a very special delivery from Incredible Eggs, and we were thrilled to welcome our first baby chick that same night! By today, we have three little chicks and counting!

Our residents are already smitten and can’t wait to move them from the incubator to their new home so we can enjoy some cuddle time. 🐤💕
