Let’s raise a cheer for our Man of the Year 2023, Aaron Walker 🥳.

Two years ago, Aaron headed to Leeds Festival looking forward to a day out with friends, listening to good music and making memories. Once he arrived though, he found his size held him back – he felt self-conscious and even missed Two Door Cinema Club, one of his favourite bands, because he was too tired to walk across the field to the stage they were playing on. It was at this point he decided to make a change and join his local Slimming World group. Now 14st lighter, he’s having the time of his life and enjoying Leeds Festival to the fullest this time 🎵!

If you own a wearable fitness tracker, or you keep tabs on your fitness using health apps on your phone, I’ve got some exciting news for you!
Next week, Slimming World are beginning the gradual rollout of a new tool on the Slimming World app. (To make sure everything goes smoothly, not everyone will get it at once... so please bear with us! We aim to have everyone connected by the end of June ).
The new tool will allow you to connect one of three health apps – Google Fit, Fitbit or Apple Health – to the Slimming World Planner, so your workout data automatically syncs.
This will make it even easier to track activity achievements towards Body Magic awards – plus it’ll track your step count to help you build even more movement into your day.
It’s something that members have asked Slimming World to create, so we hope you’ll love using it!

How to connect your fitness tracker
First of all, please check your device is running version 1.57 – or later – of the Slimming World app. You can always update the app in your app store if you’re not sure.
At some point over the next few weeks, you’ll spot a prompt in your Slimming World app Planner inviting you to connect a device or app. Tap on the prompt, follow the instructions and voila, you’re connected! If you’ve seen the prompt but you’re having problems connecting, or you have a burning question, please ask me for help – or take a look at the fitness apps section of our FAQs: https://slimmingworld.my.site.com/onlinefaqs/s/
And if you’re still struggling, you can contact our Digital Support team on 0344 892 0431 (UK) or 01 656 9696 (Republic of Ireland), so they can get you up and running (pun intended ).
