🚨 Major Incident – Liverpool City Centre 🚨
Yesterday’s celebrations in Liverpool turned to tragedy when a vehicle collided with a number of pedestrians on Water Street, right in the heart of the city centre. The incident occurred during the Premier League victory parade, with thousands of people lining the streets.
In the midst of panic and confusion, our emergency services responded with professionalism, speed, and absolute dedication.
🚑 Paramedics and ambulance crews were on scene within minutes, administering critical care in extremely difficult conditions.
🚒 Firefighters worked alongside police to make the area safe and assist with casualty care.
👮 Police officers quickly secured the area, supporting investigation efforts and ensuring public safety.
🏥 NHS staff in nearby hospitals responded instantly, preparing emergency departments and providing lifesaving treatment to the injured.
🚑 Ambulance/Medical volunteers were on scene quickly, delivering vital triage and early care in very challenging conditions.
Yesterday, the strength of the 999 family and the wider NHS was on full display. Amid the sirens and the heartbreak, there was courage, teamwork, and compassion.
To every crew member, call handler, medic, officer, nurse and doctor — your efforts did not go unnoticed. You showed Liverpool, once again, what true service looks like.
