About the Project
Following the Chinatown mural project delivered during the Year of the Ox, Culture Liverpool has partnered with Global Street Art to commission a new public mural in Liverpool Chinatown, to be delivered in February 2026 as part of Chinese New Year 2026 celebrations.

The project continues a commitment to high-quality public art that reflects local culture, celebrates community identity, and enhances the Chinatown area.

About Global Street Art

Global Street Art is an international street art organisation based in London, specialising in the delivery of large-scale public murals. Working with artists, communities, and cities worldwide, the organisation supports community-led consultation to ensure artworks are meaningful, inclusive, and rooted in place.

Public Consultation – How You Can Take Part

This is the first stage of public consultation.
Members of the public are invited to vote for their preferred artist from a shortlist curated by Global Street Art, based on experience in delivering large-scale public murals.

The second stage of consultation will take place on 20 January 2026 at Pagoda Arts, where the selected artist will meet with the community to discuss themes, ideas, and cultural references for the final artwork.

Please vote once only. Voting can be completed online or with assistance at community sessions.

本次为公众咨询的第一阶段。
诚邀公众从由 Global Street Art 根据大型公共壁画创作经验遴选的艺术家名单中，投选心仪的艺术家。

第二阶段公众咨询将于 2026 年 1 月 20 日在 百祥塔艺术中心举行，届时入选艺术家将与社区居民交流，共同探讨壁画作品的主题、创意和文化元素。
