Always keeping it real 💫
Wow… just like that, 8 years have flown by.
Eight years ago, I walked away from my medical sales career to start my own little business - with no real plan and no clear idea where it would lead 🤷♀️
I just knew I needed to step away from the rat race… even though I genuinely loved my job, my colleagues, and my patients.
It was a huge risk. My son was about to start his A Levels, with dreams of becoming a Dentist.
Boom…little did I know that it was also the beginning of my perimenopause/menopause journey 🤯 It really does creep up on you… then suddenly it bites you on the arse! 😩 Everyone’s experience is different, but for me it hit hard and it hit dark - with very little GP support.
Then life hit us hard - my lovely Dad was diagnosed with cancer, and soon after the world was turned upside down by a global pandemic. Lockdowns, obstacles, uncertainty… and barely any support for new, small businesses other than £5 a week 🤯
Like many of us over the past 8 years, I’ve lost so many family and friends. Sadly far too many to count🥺♥️🙏🏻
Fast forward 8 years… my son passed all his A Levels and graduated as a Dentist 🦷 Proud mum doesn’t even cover it 😁
Menopause can impact your family and friendships too, so having the right people around you is everything 💪🏻♥️ but it’s also a journey… and in my case, it led me to my business.
Then, slowly over time, the old you starts to reignite and make a comeback… like a brilliant 80’s/90’s classic 🤣🎶
I’m beyond grateful and blessed that my Dad is still here with us.
Blessed to of had memories and laughter with the ones I’ve lost 🙏🏻
I’m so thankful for the friends who have stood by me, championed me, believed in me, and never gave up on me - even through my darkest times… I love you all ♥️
My clients have been absolutely phenomenal. They’ve supported me through every step of this journey, and along the way I’ve gained some truly incredible friendships.
I honestly couldn’t have done it without them, and I never take any of it for granted.
It’s been one hell of a journey… all I ever wanted was to earn a living, pay my bills, do something I love, and make a difference.
I’m just so thankful I’m still here 🙏🏻♥️
