Pick up your trauma informed care card from Gynaecology Outpatients reception, waiting area E.

These simple, discreet cards empower patients who have experienced sexual trauma to share their needs and boundaries during healthcare appointments, helping staff to provide care that is supportive and respectful of the patients previous lived experience.

The cards have been co-designed with patients, Healthwatch Liverpool, The Survivors Trust, and our community partners.

Visitors to Delivery Suite and Maternity Base

We are so grateful to everyone who visits our Maternity Unit for helping us create a calm, welcoming and secure space for our mums, dads and babies ❤️

To help keep our Delivery Suite and Maternity Base as safe as possible, we kindly ask that visitors and staff:

✅Do not hold the door open for anyone else to come through. Although this may feel polite, it may pose a risk to some of our families and staff.

✅It is important that each visitor is buzzed in by the ward staff so we know exactly who is on the ward at any time.

✅If you are ever unsure, or if someone does slip through, please speak to a member of the team, we are always here to help.

These small steps go a long way in helping us protect all the families in our care, and we really appreciate your support and understanding.

Many people going through fertility treatment rely on donor eggs or s***m – by becoming a donor you could help someone to achieve their dream of starting a family.

Are you 11 - 34 weeks pregnant and would like a picture of your baby?

In order to help our colleagues improve their skills we have organised an ultrasound course on Friday 17 April 2026.

We are looking for women who will be between 11 and 34 weeks pregnant that would be willing to help us on the day by having an extra scan of the baby.

The scans will not harm you or the baby.

If you are interested, please follow the link to complete a short form: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3F6RRKZ

As a thank you we will offer pictures of the baby (provided the baby is in a good position) and a £10 voucher.

Please note, spaces are limited. We will close the form once we hit the required numbers of patients.

We apologise in advance if you don't hear from us. Sadly, we cannot accommodate everyone.

Thank you for your ongoing support. We looking forward to hearing from you 😊

Maternity Facts – January and February 2026 💚

Dear Families, we are currently trialling a new approach in the way that we present our maternity facts. To help avoid assumptions around extremely pre-term babies, who's circumstances can be very different, we will publish the largest and smallest full‑term birth weights. This helps us to minimise any confusion or preconceptions. Pre‑term babies are still represented in all other parts of the infographic. As always, we welcome any feedback

If you have been listed for an Ambulatory procedure, you may not need to attend a separate pre-operative appointment. Instead, we are introducing a new Digital Pre-Op Assessment Form for you to complete online in your own time.

How it works:
• When it’s time for your pre-op, you’ll receive a text message with a secure link to the form
• You’ll need your NHS number to complete it. You can find this on the NHS App, on previous NHS letters, or by contacting your GP
• Once submitted, our Pre-Op Assessment Team will review your form. If everything is in order, you’ll be added to the waiting list for your procedure.

Need help?
If you have any concerns about completing the form online, please speak to a member of staff at your appointment or call 0151 702 4476.
