Getting to know your baby’s regular pattern of movements during pregnancy will help you to recognise if something changes.

What do your baby’s movements feel like?, what times during the day, evening and overnight is your baby active?, how long do your baby’s episodes of movements last for?

You can get to recognise what’s regular for your baby.

Take the time to sit and tune into your baby’s movements when you can within the day, evening and overnight when as and when you’re awake.

If you are ever unsure, concerned or something just doesn’t feel right, seek advice from your midwife or maternity unit as soon as you feel like this.

A midwife can take a full detailed history from your and give you the most appropriate advice.

Don’t hesitate. This is your precious little one’s way of communicating to you… take notice whilst you’re bonding and getting to know your baby.

It’s always a privilege to hear people’s experiences with their pregnancy and parenthood journey. The bitbaby community is something really special.

Here is Paul’s Story…

“As someone who with my partner has faced multiple miscarriages and the emotional toll of two failed IVF rounds, I know first hand how fragile and anxiety-inducing the journey to parenthood can be.
When my partner and I finally reached the 12-week milestone in our pregnancy, it was overshadowed by constant worry. Every day, we were expecting something to go wrong again. We wanted reassurance that our baby was ok.
If bitbaby had been available, it would have transformed that experience for us. The ability to monitor our baby’s movements from the comfort of our home, at any time day or night, would have given us an invaluable sense of security and control. It’s hard to overstate the peace of mind that comes from knowing your baby is okay.
Bitbaby will be a huge help to so many expectant parents, allowing them to monitor their baby’s movements between routine checkups. It’s real-time reassurance when it’s needed most. I’d have paid anything to have it whilst we were pregnant.”
