Yesterday was World Cerebral Palsy Day 💚
One of our wonderful riders shared some great information about a Teen and Adult Camp that might interest our community
Here’s a bit more about it 👇:

This World Cerebral Palsy Day 🌎 we are delighted to announce our Teen and Adult Outdoor Adventure Camps at Bendrigg Trust

What better way to celebrate being than with an incredible experience where individuals can engage in challenging physical activity in a supportive and safe environment, build friendships and interact with their peers.

The teen camp will take place on the 29th March - 2nd April and is open to young people 12-17 with a neurological physical impairment and their parent or guardian.

The adult camp will take place on the 14th - 18th September and is open to individuals 18+ with cerebral palsy or related impairment.

Keeping Our Horses Happy Thank You Graham's Ground Solutions

It’s really important to make sure our arena surface is regularly harrowed it keeps the ground even, soft, and safe for our horses to work on 🐴✨. Thanks to Graham’s Ground Solutions for carrying out a specialist deep harrow for us. This takes away the hard patches and makes the surface more comfortable, so our horses can move freely and do their job with less effort.

🌸 Remembering Anne Vis 🌸

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our much-loved volunteer, Anne Vis, who gave over 40 years of dedicated service to our RDA group.

Ann was part of the very heart of RDA she supported countless riders, cared for our horses with love, and was always there with encouragement, kindness and a smile. Over the decades she became a firm favourite with both riders and volunteers, and her dedication was recognised with many awards along the way.

No matter the weather, Anne could be found at the yard five mornings a week, caring for the horses and keeping everything running smoothly. She had a special way with animals even the birds adored her, often waiting nearby for the bird seed she carried in her pocket.

Her presence at RDA was more than just her time; it was her spirit. She gave so much of herself to ensure riders could enjoy their time with the horses, making a difference in ways that will never be forgotten.

Her funeral will take place on October 7th at 12pm at St Helen’s Church, Crosby and all are welcome to come and celebrate her remarkable life and contribution to RDA.

🐾💚 Our Dog Show was paws-itively amazing yesterday! 🐶✨
Thanks to your support we raised an incredible £775.40 🎉

Huge thanks to everyone who came along the teamwork was fantastic, and with that many wagging tails around, we think the dogs enjoyed it even more than we did 😂🐾

All funds will go towards supporting our wonderful RDA riders!
