Rosa Parks’ refusal to give up her seat to a white man on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1955 ignited the Montgomery Bus Boycott, one of the most significant events in the Civil Rights Movement. Her courageous act of defiance became a symbol of resistance against racial segregation, and Parks' lifelong dedication to social justice contributed to transformative changes in American society. Parks is remembered as a hero who fought for equality, dignity, and freedom.

Malcolm X (1925–1965) was a fearless human rights activist and one of the most powerful voices of the Civil Rights Movement. Born Malcolm Little, he rose from a troubled past to become a bold advocate for Black empowerment, pride, and self-determination. As a minister of the Nation of Islam and later the founder of the Organization of Afro-American Unity, Malcolm challenged systemic racism and inspired generations with his unapologetic call for justice "by any means necessary." His legacy lives on as a symbol of strength, transformation, and unwavering resistance.

Young voices. Real change. 🎤🧠
Last week, our peer researchers joined YoungMinds at the Labour Party Conference to push the campaign – calling for a mental health system that actually works for young people.
We’re demanding action:
* Accessible support in every community
* Consistent care across the UK
* Services shaped by lived experience

It’s time to stop talking about young people and start listening to them.
