I think a lot of people see you as fortunate for working for yourself and have a lot of luxuries. When in reality everything falls on you and it’s hard work!

There’s a lot of pros but it comes with a lot that people don’t see. And lets not forget, I don’t get holiday pay, sick pay, maternity pay or any of these other luxuries what most of us take for granted.

I don’t get paid if an appointment doesn’t get filled or cancelled last minute. I only get paid after all my bills are paid, I have to work hard to get a wage & after all bills and rent etc is paid I’m probably earning a very basic wage.

A lot of us ( I hope! ) do what we do, because we love what we do & being able to help people in some way or another, make them feel good & better about themselves and that’s the bottom line.

We need to give more credit to small business owners, those who work on their own, renting a space or have a premises. As much of a “luxury” and how “easy” we have it, it’s hard work and probably most of us are skint 🤣

vouchers which were bought for you at Christmas’s just gone will be expiring at the end of this month x

Extra time was already added onto this vouchers and what annoys me ( I’m sorry to say! 🙈😵‍💫 ) is that when people try to use their vouchers past their expiry, because let’s face it, you wouldn’t go into a big store and ask to use your gift card / voucher which expired 1,2,3,4,5,6 months ago, so why do it to a small business?

I always try to be as generous as I can, if you book your appointment before your expiry date and I don’t have the space I will honor it, but please don’t take the Micky and try and book in for the day before your voucher expires, we all know I get booked at least 2+ weeks ahead of myself
