We are super pleased to announce Debbie Moore will be heading up Belong at Home Southport as our home care service prepares to launch in the area, later this autumn. 🏡 🚗

The expansion is our first foray into Merseyside and comes ahead of Belong Birkdale village opening in spring 2026.

Debbie makes the move from Belong at Home Wigan, having climbed the ranks over the years to achieve her latest career milestone - congratulations, Debbie! 👏

"Staff are caring, friendly and use initiative. I trust them to consider mums needs and to act where necessary. They appear to be well trained. Staff are usually on time and stay for the full allotted time. Occasionally the planned time of visit is changed which doesn't always match mum's needs, but I understand that this may be necessary when attempting to match staff resource with the client jigsaw."

Last week, Belong at Home Atherton's lovely Betty has been out and about with team members, Laura and Gillian. 🥰

The girls have been on tour to Betty's favourite places for lunch, cake and coffee.

The team have also been picking flowers on behalf of a customer who cannot get out and about. 🌼

Today marks World Alzheimer's Month and this year's theme is 'Ask About Dementia. Ask About Alzheimer's' because asking leads to understanding and understanding leads to action. 🧠 🤔

It is estimated that 55 million people globally are living with dementia, and this is set to rise to 78 million by 2030 - that's almost +42% in under five years. 🤯

🏡 Our villages are open to local communities and we invite everyone to pop in for a chat with the team. You don't have to know someone living with dementia to find out more about it. Come and say hello, today.

Belong at Home is run by North West based not-for-profit care provider, Belong, which specialises in supporting people with dementia. The service was launched to enable us to extend our support beyond villages to people’s own homes in the wider community. In line with our ‘home for life’ concept, we aim to support people whatever their physical needs or their stage of their journey with dementia. We bring the same pioneering spirit that led to the creation of Belong villages to our Belong at Home service, continuously looking to improve the way we operate. As a listening organisation, we take the lead from our customers, seeking constant feedback on what we can do better through ‘Our listening to the experts’ surveys, regular wellbeing reviews and feedback forums.
