Expect Limited Expect is a registered charity providing health and social care services based in Sefton, Merseyside that has been operating for 35 years.

We offer individual focussed support to help you live your best possible life. Expect Ltd is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as a domiciliary and residential service, providing a range of services for people living with mental illness and/ or learning disabilities. We uphold a strong community approach and focus the efforts of highly trained, motivated staff on supporting some of the most isolated individuals in the community. Expect is a charity that emphasises the benefits of inclusion and social integration, operating an alternative approach to institutionalised care and support. Expect manages the operation of housing projects such as supported living provision, registered care homes and community outreach services in order to provide appropriate levels of support, in an appropriate lifestyle context to best support each individual we work with. In addition to this Expect operates a comprehensive day service support/ community facility called ‘The Bowersdale Centre’ in Seaforth. The charity works alongside other voluntary, community and charitable organisations from this hub facility to develop service provision for the maximum amount of people who we can help. Expect aims to promote the value of ordinary living opportunities and eliminate the segregation and stigmatisation of people who consider themselves to be disadvantaged by reason of their physical health, mental health or learning disability. To this end we provide services that aim to preserve and protect the well-being of the disadvantaged in our society on a not-for-profit, charitable basis.

Mindful Steps!

Our Bowersdale Resource Centre has an exciting new initiative starting this week.

• The 'Mindful Step' Walking Project, a 12 week programme starts Wednesday 11th March. 1:30-3pm

Service users will enjoy a walk, enjoying each others company and improving their fitness all together at the same time.

Places are already full for this first co-hort. Watch this space for photos from the sessions over coming weeks.

Bowled Over!

Carl & John from Maiden Lane, enjoyed a recent trip to the new & improved Hollywood Bowl.
They were great at the bowling & want to start having a regular contest. They also enjoyed all the arcade games & spent a lovely day together.

John's Blackpool Big Day Out Bonanza!

John from Maiden Lane had a lovely day out to Blackpool with staff member Kayleigh recently. They did some site seeing & he even bumped into his Idol Elvis Presley!

John enjoyed the fair & the arcades & he even won a prize. All this was topped off with a nice meal and a well earned pint.
John had a lovely day and can’t wait to go to Blackpool again.

We have x2 vacancies for our Mental Health Navigation Service,
• Community Assistant - MHNS North (Southport/Formby area) - 12 hours per week
• Community Assistant - MHNS South (Crosby/ Bootle/ Seaforth/Maghull area) – 12 hours per week

We are looking for compassionate and reliable staff to join our team as a Community Assistant. In these roles, you will work closely with adults aged 18 plus who have a learning disability and/or a mental health diagnosis in a social care setting. Your support will play a crucial role in reducing social isolation and loneliness, helping service users to achieve their goals and to feel more connected and integrated into their own community.

Expect service users Gary, Clare, Catherine & Leon from Darrel Drive all visited the cinema together to watch movie 'Wuthering Heights' over the weekend. They followed it up with a nice meal in Liverpool City Centre.
All had a lovely day out together and are looking forward to sharing another trip again soon.
