Shared Plates, Shared Stories is underway!

Our latest programme started today and what a beautiful first session it was

On the menu…
South African twist on Scouse
A much-loved French family dish, Grandma’s Chicken
A Ukrainian favourite, Borscht

This project brings together 6 local women and 6 women new to the UK, creating space to cook, connect and learn from one another. Each week, participants share recipes that are meaningful to them—whether it’s a taste of home, a family favourite, or something passed down through generations.

All ingredients are provided, with sessions led by the Michelle from Bay Tree Catering CIC

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our first session. A special thank you to Nancy, who previously took part and has come back to volunteer, supporting the group with language and helping everyone feel at ease

Want to try some of the dishes? Keep an eye out for details of our community meal on 21st May

Interested in joining the next group? Our next Shared Plates, Shared Stories programme starts Friday 15th May – 19th June

We’ve still got a few spaces left on our Men’s Peer Support Group, starting this week.

If you know a man who might benefit from having a space to talk and feel supported, please pass this on.

It’s a relaxed, no-judgement group where men can speak openly about what’s going on or just come along and listen. A lot of men feel unsure at first, but often say they’re glad they took that first step.
