A clinical trial investigating a potential treatment for a rare form of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) has enrolled its youngest patient at the King’s Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Care and Research Centre at King’s College Hospital in London.

👏 Huge shoutout to Rachel, Tadhg and Sam, students from Liverpool John Moores University, who took on the Liverpool Half Marathon on Sunday 23rd March in support of the MNDA Wirral Group!

It was a brilliant day with our amazing volunteers cheering them on—and together they raised an incredible £558 to support people living with motor neurone disease in our community 💙

We’re so inspired by the energy and dedication of young people like them. Your passion brings awareness, hope, and real impact.

Great to share the stage with Ben Middlehurst at the Alzheimer's Research UK 2025 Conference in Birmingham, where he discussed his work on 'Transposable Elements in Neurodegenerative Diseases'. Great talks from everyone in the session entitled 'Omic approaches in neurodegenerative diseases'.
