I don’t usually share product posts, but this felt worth talking about. As parents and carers, we all have those quiet “what if” thoughts — emergencies, wandering off, moments when we’re not there to explain things properly. Safe & Snappy is a simple idea that allows important medical and contact information to be accessed instantly with a quick scan, which could make a real difference when seconds matter. For families living with diabetes or any medical condition, it’s another small layer of reassurance when you can’t always be by their side. It’s not about fear, it’s about peace of mind.

There’s an unspoken pressure in diabetes to be “good at it” — to keep numbers in range, to make the right decisions, to never get it wrong. But diabetes doesn’t follow rules, and it certainly doesn’t reward perfection. If you’ve ever felt judged by a number, exhausted by trying, or quietly wondered why it feels so heavy some days… this is for you. You are not failing. You are living with something unpredictable, demanding, and relentless — and you’re still showing up. That matters more than any reading ever could.

I’ve been quietly working on something for a while now, and it’s almost ready.
A digital download written specifically for parents of children with type 1 diabetes — for the days you feel like you’re failing, even when you’re doing absolutely everything you can.

This isn’t advice. It isn’t a checklist.
It’s something to read in those heavy moments when the guilt is loud, the fear creeps in, and you need to be reminded that you are not doing a bad job.

I’ve lived with type 1 diabetes for over 40 years, and I owe everything to my parents for how they supported me growing up. This download comes from that place — from someone who was the child, and now understands the weight parents carry.

I’m just getting final feedback from a small number of parents before releasing it properly. If it helps even one parent feel less alone, it’s done exactly what it was meant to do.

You’re not failing. You’re showing up — every single day.

Went to bed early. Did everything “right.” Still woke up feeling completely drained. This is the kind of tired that sleep doesn’t fix, the exhaustion that comes from your body working 24/7 just to stay balanced. If you live with diabetes, or care for someone who does, you’ll understand this feeling all too well. You’re not lazy. You’re not weak. You’re carrying more than most people will ever see, and you’re doing your best every single day. If this resonates, know you’re not alone in it. 💙

New year, same diabetes. This one’s for anyone starting the year already feeling tired — you’re not alone.

This video is about the one thing diabetics silently wish for at Christmas — a day where we can be present with family instead of constantly managing blood sugars. It’s an emotional, honest look at what Christmas really feels like when you live with type 1 diabetes.
