🌙 Luteal Phase Date Night
As we move through the luteal phase, our energy naturally turns inward. This is the time after ovulation when progesterone rises calling for warmth, warm drinks, hot baths, thick socks, rest, and grounding nourishment.
These are my go to for luteal phase support at the moment and are also comforting af.
✨ Ingredients that your luteal phase loves
🌰 250g Zaytoun dates (they are the 🐐)– Literally natures caramel if you have a sweet tooth. Dates are rich in magnesium and potassium to ease bloating, reduce cramps, and calm the nervous system. Their natural sweetness also helps stabilise blood sugar, easing that pre-period irritability.
🥜 A big dollop of natural peanut butter. Full of healthy fats and vitamin E, peanut butter helps support hormone balance and keeps energy levels steady through progesterone’s calming influence.
🌿 Two handfuls of chopped nuts. Packed with zinc, B vitamins, and selenium essential for hormone regulation and supporting the liver’s natural detox processes (which helps your body clear excess hormones smoothly).
🍫 180g Green & Black’s 80% dark chocolate. A comforting source of magnesium, iron, and antioxidants, dark chocolate can lift mood, ease PMS symptoms, and encourage relaxation by supporting serotonin production.
🧂 A sprinkle of Celtic sea salt. Rich in trace minerals, helping restore electrolytes and maintain hydration especially when progesterone can make us retain or lose more water.
