Please note that the practice will be open for emergencies only from 1.30pm tomorrow Thursday 5th December as most of the team are attending a centralised NHS Lothian training session.

There will be a small team in the practice to deal with any urgent enquiries that need to be dealt with before we re-open fully on Friday morning at 8am.

If you have opted for digital contact via email for vaccinations it appears that the emails are automatically going in to junk mailboxes. Please check there for communication and call the number supplied to book your appointment.

📞 Prescription Line📞

We now have a dedicated prescribing team who patients can speak to by selecting option 1 when calling in to the practice. This team are available Mon-Fri 8am until 6pm.

💊 Prescriptions💊

Please note that the practice no longer sends messages to advise when prescriptions have been issued. Prescriptions will usually be issued within 2 working days of the request being made.

We ask patients to initially check with their own pharmacy prior to calling the practice as most prescriptions will automatically be sent across as per patient instruction on the request.

Some pharmacies may have their own messaging service to notify patients when medication is ready to collect, please enquire directly with your own pharmacy about this.

🗓️Appointment non-attendance📞

Last week we had 65 appointments which were not attended in the practice. We would like to remind patients that if you are unable to attend an appointment that it should be cancelled as far in advance as possible so that these appointments can be offered to others.

World Mental Health Day is on the 10th October. This is a reminder that we have a local mental health wellbeing phoneline service for children, young people and families can call Listen and Link.
