This April, we’re doing something a little different.

We’re introducing “Conversations For”.

For the whole month, every hearing assessment carried out in clinic will contribute to Maggie’s.

Maggie’s provides practical and emotional support to people affected by cancer, and their families.

This is a charity that’s close to us. Our neighbour, Alix, is currently undergoing stem cell treatment, and we’re taking part in Ali’s Army to support her through her recovery.

Ali’s Army is a campaign of 100 challenges over 100 days, all to show her she has people behind her.

Our challenge is simple.

If you’ve been putting off a hearing test, this is a good time to do it.

You’ll get a full, clinically led assessment in a calm environment.

We’re looking for an audiologist to work in our Clarkston and/or Dumfries clinic. This would ideally be 2 days per week, but could also suit someone available for 1 day. The role would include a mix of wax removal (training provided) and hearing assessments.

It would suit someone looking for a part-time role or to combine with an NHS role.

Great clinics start with great people.

Frazer had known Lindsey in the audiology world for years and always thought she would be a brilliant fit for Almond Hearing.

So when the opportunity came up to open in Broughty Ferry, everything aligned.

And through Lindsey we were lucky enough to welcome Eden too. Clients often say she makes them feel like they’re talking to an old friend.

World Hearing Day 2026 focuses on children and access to hearing care.

Hearing tests for children are often done through play, within specialist NHS teams that bring together audiology, paediatrics and speech and language therapy.

We focus on adult hearing care in our clinics, and offer earwax removal for children where appropriate.
