Want to deepen trust with your animal — naturally? 💚

Here’s how to Offer Choice in 5 Easy Steps:
🌿 1. Prepare: Choose 2–3 aromatics (like herbs or hydrosols).
👃 2. Present: Offer one at a time, at their nose level.
🐶 3. Observe: Sniffing, licking, lingering = yes please! Turning away = no thanks.
🕰️ 4. Time: Let them pause or come back later.
📓 5. Record: Note their choices, mood & setting.

Choice isn’t just kind, it’s powerful communication. 💫

Save this post + try it twice this week. Tell us what your animal picked! 🐴🐾

🐾Happy World Animal Reiki Day! 🐾
This day aims to raise awareness about the benefits of Reiki for animals and honors the bond between humans and animals.

Today we honor the animals who comfort us, teach us presence, and share their pure hearts so freely.

May every beloved companion, rescue, farm animal, wild one, and those who have crossed the rainbow bridge be wrapped in gentle light, for calm, safety, healing, and peace.

May all animals be protected.
May all animals be free from fear and suffering.
May all animals be nourished, comforted, and guided.
May healing energy flow to every home, shelter, ocean, forest, and field,
bringing peace to the Animal Kingdom and to all who care for them.

Understanding the difference between Stress and Trauma is very important for our animal companions 💖

Understanding the difference between Stress and Trauma is very important for our animal companions 💖

A little reminder I come back to again and again…

Stress and trauma can look so similar from the outside — big reactions, shutdown, “overreacting”, not coping. But underneath, they’re very different things… and that difference changes what actually helps.

Healthy stress is a complete cycle. Something startles the animal → the body responds → and then… it resolves. They come back to themselves. And every time they manage that, it’s like a little resilience deposit in the “stress bank”.

True trauma is when the cycle can’t complete. It’s too much, too fast, too overwhelming — and the nervous system gets stuck on high alert (or frozen).

So later, something small in the present can trigger something huge in the body… because the body is still living in the old moment. If you’re ever unsure what you’re looking at, try this question:

“Is this a system that can return to safety… or a system that can’t find the way back yet?”

Because if it’s trauma, the answer is rarely “more training” or “more exposure”. It’s usually: less pressure, more safety, more time, more gentleness. And helping the body learn it’s safe again, one tiny step at a time.

Save this for when you need it.

And if you want to share — what does your animal do when they feel overwhelmed?

🍁Autumn, the Metal Element, and our Animal Companions 🍂

As the leaves turn and the air becomes crisp, we enter the Autumn season - the time of the Metal Element in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

In TCM, Metal relates to the Lungs and Large Intestine, symbolizing letting go, clarity, and balance. Just as nature sheds what it no longer needs, our animal friends may also need a little extra support in this transitional time.
