Today on it's Sophie! Here's a little bit from our Sophie, who's been with us since our inception as Revive.
Hi, my name’s Sophie. I teach Power Vinyasa and Yin yoga.
Yoga supports me in everything I do—I love to run, climb mountains, and spend as much time as I can outdoors. I did my 200-hour teacher training in Costa Rica, where I lived and learned in the jungle. Surrounded by nature, I spent my days off surfing and making friends with the local dogs.
One of the biggest things I learned is that people come to yoga for all sorts of reasons. My reason? I believe yoga is for life. Whether you play football, tennis, run marathons—or sit at a desk all week—yoga will support you. It helps prevent those everyday injuries that creep up as we get older: like putting your back out while closing the boot of your car or pulling a hamstring during the dads’ egg-and-spoon race at sports day.
✨ Power Vinyasa
My power classes are strong, but open to everyone. We work with balance, breath, and flow. The movements strengthen tiny stabilising muscles we use every day, along with the deep core muscles that protect the spine and prevent back injuries. Expect to move, sweat a little, and find challenge and growth—whatever your level.
🌙 Yin Yoga
Yin is a completely different kind of challenge. It asks you to slow down, drop into stillness, and sit with the mind while we stretch deeper layers of tissue that need more time to open. Whether you need to switch off and step out of your head for a while, or simply release tired, tight muscles—this practice will give you space to reset.
