Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

Mental health is a matter very close to our hearts here at Capital Service Solutions Group Ltd, and we believe that supporting the wellbeing of our people should always be a priority.

Mental Health Awareness Week, organised by the Mental Health Foundation, is dedicated to promoting mental wellbeing, reducing stigma, and encouraging open conversations around mental health. This year’s theme, ‘Action’, highlights that awareness alone is not enough, meaningful change comes from taking real steps to support mental health in our workplaces, communities, and everyday lives.

That’s why we’re pleased to announce that we have now upgraded our Bupa Employee Assistance Programme from EAP to EAP Plus for all staff members and their families. 👏

Our enhanced EAP Plus service now provides access to:
✅ Unlimited access to EAP Online self-help resources
✅ 24/7 confidential telephone helpline support
✅ Legal and financial telephone support
✅ Face-to-face counselling sessions
✅ Referral and signposting to trained nurses
✅ Emotional and practical advice on child and elder care support

In addition, Lawrence Curran, our Head of HSEQ & Facilities Management, is also a fully trained Mental Health First Aider and can offer confidential internal support to staff members who may need someone to talk to. 🤝

Samuel will be the friendly voice you hear when calling Capital for most of the week, as he joins the team on a part-time basis. His journey with Capital is a true testament to growth and opportunity, having previously worked as a cleaner across multiple sites, Samuel’s new role reflects our commitment to developing and supporting our staff. 🌟

In addition to his professional achievements, Samuel was awarded Student of the Year in the Computing, Engineering and Built Environment Faculty and is a recent HND Software Development graduate from West Lothian College. 🎓

A busy and productive few days for our Specialist Cleaning Tech Team! 🚐

The past few days have highlighted how we deliver specialist cleaning services efficiently and consistently across the UK.

Our team has been supporting multiple office sites nationwide, from Scotland through to the South of England, carrying out planned carpet and fabric cleaning works as part of our wider facilities support offering. Every visit was carefully coordinated to maximise efficiency, reduce unnecessary travel, and ensure the same high standards wherever we’re working. 🤝

The works completed included:
• 10,500 sq ft of carpets
• 160 office and meeting-room chairs
• 16 sofas

Alongside service delivery, the team also supported a smooth client mobilisation by handing over equipment and stock and meeting with a newly established local cleaning team in Halifax who will continue to support the site long term, reinforcing our commitment to regional teams and a more sustainable, locally supported service model. 🌱

A huge thank you to our Specialist Cleaning Tech Team for their professionalism, flexibility, and attention to detail throughout. This is a behind-the-scenes look at how national coverage and seamless mobilisation are delivered, supported by strong local teams. 👏

A Night to Remember at the Cleaning Excellence Awards 2025! ⭐

Last week, members of our Capital team travelled down to Coventry for the Cleaning Excellence Awards, an evening dedicated to celebrating the very best in our industry. 🏆

Although our amazing Demi Townsley didn’t take home the Supervisor of the Year award, we couldn’t be prouder of her remarkable achievement in being shortlisted as one of the top 10 finalists in the UK. Reaching this stage is an outstanding accomplishment, especially alongside so many respected supervisors and leading names across the cleaning and facilities management sector. 🦺

It was a fantastic night filled with inspiration, celebration, and recognition of excellence. Demi represented Capital with professionalism, passion, and pride and to us, she will always be a winner. 💙

Demi, along with all of our supervisors at Capital, continues to demonstrate exceptional leadership, commitment, and the high standards that define our company. We are grateful for everything you do. 👏
