Blaenos House Nursing Home Blaenos House Nursing Home cares for a maximum of 38 residents living with dementia and/or requiring nursing care on a short or long-term basis.

Most of our team members read and speak Welsh as their first language. Blaenos House is an award-winning Nursing Home in Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, offering high-quality residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care for older people. We are known for our dedicated team, warm and homely atmosphere, and personalised approach to care. With Welsh-speaking staff and a deep respect for local culture, we ensure residents feel comfortable and understood. Set within a charming period property, Blaenos House features spacious en-suite rooms, cosy communal areas, and beautiful gardens—providing a peaceful and supportive environment where residents can feel truly at home.

As part of our Wishing Tree initiative, Sheila wished to visit a garden centre. Zenon, our maintenance man turned taxi driver for the day, took us to a local nursery where we enjoyed a stroll among the plants before finishing off with a relaxing tea and cake. A truly pleasant couple of hours filled with smiles and fresh air!

We were recently treated to a fantastic performance from the Llandeilo Ukulele Band . 🎵🎸 Their lively tunes and joyful energy had everyone smiling, clapping along and thoroughly enjoying the afternoon. 💛

Our residents enjoyed a trip back in time with a delicious 50’s diner-inspired day! 🎶✨ We kicked things off with a hearty breakfast of crispy bacon, eggs, freshly made pancakes and maple syrup – the perfect way to start the day. 🥓🍳🥞

Later, we served up classic diner favourites – juicy burgers, hot dogs, onion rings and French fries – finished off with a sweet treat in true American style. To make it extra special, dessert was a banana split cheesecake… just in time for National Banana Split Day! 🍌🍰🎉

Our residents loved the nostalgic flavours and fun atmosphere – a real treat from start to finish! ❤️

We’re excited to share that this is just the beginning – we plan to have a themed dinner every month as part of our residents’ dining experience! 🍽️
