We’ve had a great first training session for the Reflexology Diploma today. 👣

We covered health and safety, communication and professionalism and introduced the relaxing foot massage element of Refleolxogy. Such a good start to the training. 😍

Part of that covered aftercare advice, it sure the below statement is quite how we’d word it though. lol 😂

Reflexology is one of my favourite therapies. I find it deeply relaxing and the amazing results clients have felt over the years have been amazing to see.

I love its versatility, its ability to calm and centre people, how it’s constantly developing and evolving and how wonderful it is to provide for people.

Why Reflexology?

Apart from it being a deeply relaxing treatment you can be confident that you are receiving a therapeutically beneficial therapy without the risk of any long term negative effects.

Although Reflexologists cannot claim to cure, many clients have experienced positive effects for a multitude of ailments and there have been studies that show receiving regular reflexology treatments can be just as effective as pain medication for things such as back pain. Not to mention the Sally Kay’s method of Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage which has had controlled scientific studies that prove that it is one of most effective treatments to help manage lymphedema in the lower extremities.

For me it’s all about the treatment providing a an environment where your body has a catalyst to support the bodies natural ability to self-heal. By supporting the nervous system and reducing stress through therapeutic touch and using the specific reflexology points to encourage the body to target its own rebalancing abilities.

Either way, there’s nothing to lose through reflexology. At the very least clients leave feeling calmer and more relaxed than before and that in itself is fantastic. We know how much negative stress impacts our wellbeing.

So why not either try it for yourself or choose a new career where you get to support people in a positive way?
