Did you know physiotherapists treat women’s health concerns too?

Many people think physiotherapy is just for sports injuries or back pain. But physios are also trained to help with a range of women’s health issues, including:

• Pelvic floor problems (leaking, urgency or heaviness)
• Pregnancy-related aches and pains
• Postnatal recovery
• Returning to running or sport after having a baby
• Strength and movement during perimenopause and menopause

These things are very common but they are not something you just have to live with.

At Peak Physio & Fitness, our women’s health physiotherapists provide specialist assessment and treatment in a private and supportive environment.

We’re really excited to share our latest blog all about post-partum physiotherapy checks, supporting women as they return to movement, exercise, and everyday life after having a baby.

This blog also marks the start of something new for us 💫
We’re currently developing a dedicated Women’s Health Physiotherapy service at Peak, led by Suzie and Debbie, who both have extensive experience across NHS and private practice and a special interest in women’s health.

Post-partum checks are the first service we’re introducing, with more to follow as this area continues to grow.

If you’ve ever wondered:
• when (or how) to return to exercise after birth
• whether symptoms like leaking, pain or weakness are “normal”
• or how to protect your body long-term
