We’re seeing more families choose coffins that reflect the person, not just the occasion. Whether it’s a favourite colour, a natural material or something symbolic of their passions or personality, these choices tell a story all of their own.

Recently, we were reminded how powerful those details can be. A simple design element can capture a lifetime of love, laughter and individuality.

This beautiful rainbow wicker coffin is a perfect example: sustainable, vibrant and full of meaning. A reminder that even in goodbye, there’s room for colour, character and care.

Please note that due to the forecast of high winds and heavy rain, we have made the decision to reschedule the Tree of Lights ceremony at St David's Hospice Llandudno which was due to take place this Sunday evening.

Last Friday, Tris and Kelly had the privilege of attending Rydal Penrhos School with Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith to be ‘Dragons’ in their Dragon’s Lair project with the Year 10 students. The students pitched for investment to boost their fundraising for an activity to take place during the school fair for this incredible charity and we were so impressed! 🐉

You could visibly see their confidence grow with every question they answered and every idea they shared. Experiences like this build so many vital skills, and it was inspiring to watch them step into the challenge. There were some genuinely brilliant ideas, and we can’t wait to see how their fundraising progresses!

This coming weekend (23rd–24th November 2025) marks Quality Moments Matter, a campaign close to our hearts. Ty Gobaith and Hope House are aiming to raise £500,000 so that children with life-threatening conditions and their families can create precious memories to treasure.

🐝 “He fought with his heart - and it was his heart that Manchester came to celebrate.”

Ricky Hatton’s funeral was a poignant reminder of what makes Manchester so special; love, loyalty and community. I was moved to tears listening to Adam Smith’s eulogy and seeing how every detail reflected Ricky’s spirit.

In our latest blog, we share our reflections of the day, as a Mancunian who grew up cheering for him, and as a funeral director who knows how powerful a farewell can be.

This morning we attended the Service of Remembrance at Holy Trinity Church, Llandudno. Standing alongside our respective service organisations; Rotary Club of Llandudno and Soroptimists Llandudno Page it was lovely to see so many people in attendance at the cenotaph for the parade and time of reflection. Great to see our own bearer, Gordon Woodyatt at the helm as parade marshall again. This is the fifth year Tristan and Kelly have taken part, and it’s always an honour to be part of such a lovely ceremony.
