Did you spot the UCL research about talking therapies for menopause hit the news this week?
CBT, mindfulness, lifestyle change and menopause coaching are becoming a major part of this conversation, which is amazing to see! Changing hormones impact on how we regulate stress so we need to dial up our self care behaviours in menopause. These therapies are great because they can be used by everyone! Whether you can't or don't want to take HRT or whether you want to use them alongside HRT while they get a handle on your symptoms. This is a great step forward for choice. Choice for doctors to prescribe a variety of treatments depending on the patient and choice for us to manage our menopause how we want to.
