We know young people, parents and families in North Wales are concerned following the outbreak of meningitis in Kent.

We encourage parents and young people to familiarise themselves with symptoms of meningitis and sepsis, and to ensure they are up to date with recommended childhood vaccinations.

RSV Vaccinations for Patients Aged 80+

From 1 April, all patients aged 80 and over will be eligible for the RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) vaccine.
Patients aged 75–79 are already eligible.

- It’s a one‑off vaccine.
- We recommend it for all eligible patients.
- It will be given at the surgery.
If you’re eligible and don’t yet have an appointment, please contact us to book.
Please share this with any friends or family who may be eligible.

Spring Covid Vaccinations
Spring Covid vaccinations will begin in April.
You will receive a letter from the Covid vaccination team with your appointment details.
The Covid vaccination will not be given at the surgery.

Staff Training Closure – Thursday 19th March
The surgery will be closed on Thursday 19th March from 1:00pm to 5:00pm for mandatory staff training.
During this time, if you need to speak to a doctor urgently, please contact 0300 0844 000.

RSV Vaccination Programme Update – Adults Aged 80 and Over

From 1 April 2026, the RSV vaccination programme is being expanded to include all adults aged 80 and over, with no upper age limit.
We will be offering vaccinations to this group between 1 April and 30 June 2026.
•If you are aged 80 or over, please contact the practice to book your appointment.
• We will also be reaching out directly to eligible patients.
• In some cases, you may be able to receive your RSV vaccine at the same time as your spring COVID‑19 vaccination, which will be delivered by the local immunisation team.

309 patients didn’t attend their appointment last month — that’s 6.357% of all bookings.
When appointments aren’t cancelled, those slots can’t be offered to someone else who may really need them. If you know you can’t make it, please cancel in advance so we can support as many patients as possible. Thank you for helping us reduce wasted appointments and improve access for everyone.
