Acupuncture is an ancient system of healing that restores and maintains health by the insertion of fine needles into acupuncture points on the surface of the body. It is effective for the treatment of a wide variety of conditions through its power to stimulate the body’s own healing response e.g. pain, anxiety, arthritis, sports injuries, hay fever, asthma, migraine, high blood pressure, menstrual disorders and digestive disorders.

LLANDUDNO CHIROPRACTIC CLINIC

PETER ROBERT SMITH

UK Trained & Registered Chiropractor and Emmett Therapist. B.Sc. (Jt.Hons, Bangor), B.Sc. (Chiropractic, Bournemouth), M.S.C.A., M.R.C.C.

What kind of conditions to Chiropractors treat?

Chiropractors essentially treat pain, discomfort, and dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system, normalizing movement and improving quality of life. We do not directly treat named conditions or diseases, but we look for the underlying causes of these complaints by examining the body and treating whatever problems we may find, in order to optimize musculo-skeletal health and function. This may have positive knock-on effects on general health and bodily function. We are renowned for examining and treating the spine, but I am also trained to treat the skull and jaw, arms, legs, and ribs, and also soft tissue including muscles, tendons and ligaments.

How long will treatment take?

By the time a patient visits a Chiropractor the problem has often been present for years (unless caused by a recent accident) even if the symptoms, usually including pain, have only started recently. A course of treatment is usually necessary, rather than just a quick fix. This should be spread over a few weeks followed by maintenance, with gradually increasing gaps between sessions. This will enable the body structures to realign to their new, correct position and allow the pain and inflammation to subside.

Your Initial Visit Will Include

A private consultation with the Chiropractor
A spinal and general examination including Chiropractic, orthopaedic and neurological tests
A confidential report of findings
An explanation of Chiropractic theory and treatment
Your first treatment.

Cost of Treatment
Consultation Exam & 1st Treatment £50.00 Further Treatments £40.00
