What a way to end another happy week at Moorcroft - having proper fish & chips from Frydays in Penrhyn Bay!! Great to support local businesses but also equally great to see the residents enjoy a treat. We think the staff enjoyed it too 😉!!

And after all that food, the ladies still put in 100% effort doing their seated exercises with the fabulous Tor.

🎙🎶 We started off this week with a Bank Holiday treat for our lovely residents. 🎶🎙

We had a returning act which we absolutely love at Moorcroft - the fabulous Harmony Belles!!!

The three ladies always put a big smile on our faces, blasting out hits old & new. This time they serenaded us with an old Kate Bush classic, remastered in their own unique style. They were particularly sweet with Alice who absolutely love singing along, 'like a fourth member of the group' they said!!

Thank you for being just so fabulous ladies, and we can't wait to see you back here in the Winter. 💕💕💕

Today was an extra special day as we had a birthday to celebrate!! Today is Doreen's 94th Birthday.
She has had a busy day, with a trip out for lunch with her family, and then back to her friends at Moorcroft. She loved her cake and everyone singing to her. We hope you had the best day Doreen 💓

🏵💛 Marie Curie Fund Raiser 🏵💛

Following our fundraiser weekend, we are very pleased to announce that, due to your kind generosity, we have raised an amazing £405.00 for the charity.

Firstly, to the lovely people & businesses that donated prizes, we can't thank you enough, we have listed most of you in the comments!!

And to all of you that visited us and bought raffle tickets etc, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We are pleased that the Teddy was won by our Managers' little granddaughter, with the Teddy name being 'Sparkle'!! Her and her big brother loved spending time with the residents over the weekend, the young and old happy together ❤️.

We will be in touch with the winners of the many prizes over the next week.

🧁🐰Our busy Easter week continues, the Home is adorned with decorations, we've had a themed Easter quiz with Rita, and earlier this week the ladies made cute rice crispie cakes. Andrea fed back that this was such a successful activity, and that many of the residents remembered making these with their children & grandchildren - wonderful memories to share, they truly had a lovely afternoon 💓.

The residents always look forward to her visits, she truly helps them nurture their creative side!! Their combined work resulted in a Easter collage, which will hang in our conservatory, enhancing the other Easter decorations.

🧘‍♂️ We all look forward to Tor's visits - the residents have such a fun time, and they deserve the best. They love the fact they are exercising but also having a giggle, that's exactly how it should be!

Big thanks to Tor for her professionalism, patience and ability to bring sunshine to our afternoon, and ensuring our residents exercise safely.

It really doesn't seem like five minutes since it was Christmas, and now Easter is nearly upon us!

So, the ladies were very happy to get going with making Easter cards, with the help of Rita and Shannon. It was a lovely way to pass a few hours, and always so nice to see the ladies socialising together ❤️.

Well done ladies 👏.

We start a new week sharing some lovely photos with you. 🥰

We had the pleasure of inviting the Funtime Choir to Moorcroft for the first time. It's true to say, none of us wanted them to leave. They are a refreshing group of ladies with a passion for singing, who enjoy the pleasure they give to those they sing to. Great that we get to donate to the charity of their choice too, in lieu of their time & effort.

Have a look at our Alice sat right in the middle of the action, singing her heart out bless her!!!

We will definitely be asking them to come back!! Thank you ladies, from us all ❤️
