🧀🍷Today, one of our wonderful girls Zoe, arranged a cheese & wine afternoon for the residents. 🧀🍷

They all enjoyed a variety of cheeses washed down with not just wine, anything that took their fancy. Lovely to see them all congregated together, nice and warm on a mirky January afternoon. Thank you Zoe!

We had the wonderful Debbie from Creative Mojo with us today, the first visit of 2026. She gave all the ladies individual pieces that they could paint to their own design. It was lovely to see the concentration and uniqueness of each part. And when they were all put together, the impact was even better. "Hello January" indeed 👋.

Earlier this week the decorations went down, and we miss them already! But the building still has its sparkle, because it is filled with love and happiness. 💓
So whilst it's been a quieter week, we've still had lots to do - plenty of games of Dominoes, Bingo, chair exercises with Tor and a quiz or two with Rita.

💃🕺Well, what a fabulous way to end 2025!! 🍷🥂

Our residents have had the best day - we know this is what makes Moorcroft stand out for all the right reasons!

This afternoon Andrea helped the ladies decorate the cutest ornaments for their bedrooms, thank you Andrea. Tonight they will light their little candles and make a wish 💓.

And as we went into the evening, our fabulous staff had the karaoke machine out, and what a giggle they all had. Who said you can't dance, sing and be merry when you are elderly!! They may close their eyes this evening, and daydream about the brilliant times gone by, but we are humbled to know, they still enjoyed this one enough!!

🎈🎁🎂 Today we had a very special birthday to celebrate - our fabulous Elaine has reached the grand age of 90!!!! 🎂🎁🎈

Today her family and all the staff made sure she had the best day, and the party is still continuing into the evening!! But the best gift for Elaine was a surprise visit from her beloved Sister, so very lovely that they could all spend this afternoon together. Big thank you to Elaines' family for kindly supplying afternoon tea for every single resident, they were truly spoiled.

The best Happy Birthday wishes Elaine from all of us ❤️❣️

Well, here we are again, our busiest day of the year has arrived ~ so on behalf of everyone here at Moorcroft, we would like to wish all of our Facebook friends and family a very Merry Christmas 🎄.

2025 is nearly complete and wow what an amazing fun year it has been!!!

🎄 The big day is nearly upon us - and we can't wait to spend the day together as one big family.🎄

But todays post is dedicated to the staff, without them Moorcroft wouldn't be what it is, so thank you to each and every one of you.

We recently treated the staff to a fabulous party night at The Quay Hotel (we had to go twice as there are too many of us!!) and you will agree, everyone looked great dressed up. Lovely to see them let their hair down, well deserved!

We take this opportunity to also say thank you to the families of our residents for their endless gifts for both the staff and residents, this just shows how grateful you are for the care we give.

Enjoy Christmas Eve everyone and best wishes for a love filled Christmas Day 💚

We were overjoyed to welcome back Ysgol John Bright to Moorcroft, they so kindly visit us every Christmas. Pupils from years 10 and 11 sang beautifully for our residents, they really were a joy. The elderly just beam when the young are around, it's beautiful to see. They definitely made us feel Christmassy. Thank you to each and everyone one of you, and we will see you again next year.

🎄The annual Moorcroft Christmas party was a huge success - "the best yet" according to some of the residents!! 🎄

We did all have a lovely time, a room full of happy residents and visitors, music, food and drinks a plenty!

But no Christmas party is complete without a visit from Santa 🎅 - thanks to our wonderful maintenance man Eric for making our day.

A big shout out to all the staff who did an incredible job making sure our residents and their families had the best afternoon together.

A few quieter days ahead now before the big day - we have been so busy!!!
