‼️ The Ministry of Justice Announces Extension to
Family Mediation Voucher Scheme ‼️

The scheme
Will continue for a further 12 months to March 2026.

Following the news, Stephen Burke, Chair of The Family Mediation Council (FMC), said: "Analysis of the family mediation voucher scheme has shown it to be successful in helping people make important agreements without the need to go to court. The FMC welcomes its extension, not least as this will continue to ensure that families on low incomes can access mediation to help them resolve conflict."

A Brief History

Family Mediation North Wales was created by Paula Dawson, a practicing family law solicitor for almost 20 years. In that time, Paula initially specialised in Divorce Proceedings, including financial settlements and Children Act matters. After 8 years in private practice, Paula left and became a freelance solicitor, working for various authorities across Wales and the North West; specialising in Childcare Law, Paula undertook a Masters Degree in Childcare Law in 2015 and graduated with a Merit in January 2018. It was during her studies that Paula came to believe that she could offer families a real opportunity to help themselves following the breakdown of relationships. Training as a Mediator during the Masters Degree and passing the accredited course led to the establishment of Family Mediation North Wales
