"Our whole world has changed in a matter of days. Many of us are overwhelmed by what looks like more uncertainty than we've ever faced before. At the same time, we are under severe restrictions, told not to leave our homes, except for a few prescribed reasons. And I can no longer ask clients to attend counselling sessions at my place of work.
Unprecedented rapid change requires flexibility, the ability to adapt quickly and be smart about it.
I am determined to continue to support my clients and to ensure my counselling service is accessible to as many people as possible. That's why I've decided to adapt the way I work.
I am expanding my online counselling service, to offer counselling via Video, Audio-only, Live Chat or Email. Online counselling has been shown in studies to be as effective as face-to-face therapy, and it has many advantages, including ease and convenience.
Perhaps people need support and help with stress, worry and concern more now than ever? I'm happy that I've found a way to continue to provide effective help and support."
