NEW CLINICAL IT SYSTEM 🗓️

We would like to inform our patients that we will be transitioning to a new clinical IT system between Thursday 13th March until Monday 24th March 2025. During this period, we anticipate some temporary disruption to our usual services as we upgrade the system. Please be assured that we have taken significant steps to minimise any impact, but there will be a reduction in our ability to process certain tasks efficiently due to a limited number of computers available.

What does this mean for you?
• Reduced availability of computers: The upgrade process will require a temporary reduction in available computers, which could lead to slower processing times or delays in certain services.
• Prioritisation of tasks: We will be prioritising critical cases and essential functions only during this time. Non-urgent matters will experience delays.
• Communication channels: While the IT system is being upgraded, please expect longer response times to any non-urgent queries or requests.

How we’re preparing:
• We have trained our team to ensure that vital services continue without interruption.
• Temporary manual processes will be in place to handle urgent matters where necessary.
• We will do our best to keep you informed of any major developments or changes in the schedule.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

We are excited about the improvements the new system will bring and are committed to ensuring a smooth transition with as little disruption as possible.

There will be no prescribing pharmacist this Thursday 21st November or Friday 22nd November at Gravells Pharmacy. However Jonathon can still be available for all minor ailments, sore throat, weight loss medications, stop smoking services, discharge medication reviews, flu vaccines, just in case bags, UTIs and emergency contraception. Please also be mindful we will be short staffed and pharmacies at present are under immense pressure!!
Please be courteous to our amazing staff, there are many medications that are out of stock throughout the country, we will work hard alongside the surgeries to get you an alternative. The pressure at present is so high that pharmacies are considering reducing services in the new year to protest about lack of funding. If there is anyway you can help your pharmacy at present, please do so (like collecting your prescription or buying from your pharmacy rather than a major retailing chain).
All pharmacies teams are stretched to the limit, financially, physically and mentally. With Christmas coming up too, adding to the pressure.
PLEASE ALSO RESPECT EVERY MEMBER OF YOUR PHARMACY TEAM!!!!!
We are here to help you, raising your voice or being rude does not help anyone. All pharmacies deal with thousands of prescriptions daily, the teams up and down the country, go that extra mile for every patient, and do it very professionally, politely and with a great sense of duty of care.

Please support your local pharmacy!!!!

If you don’t, they might not be there in 12 months. 700 shops have shut their doors permanently over the last few years, due to financial pressures.
The National Pharmacy Association are trying to raise awareness with the public to show our plight.
We are committed to our patients and our communities and will take our issues directly to 10 Downing Street.
For now, ALL WE CAN ASK FROM OUR PATIENTS IS TO BE COURTEOUS TO OUR STAFF, BE KIND AND PATIENT.
PLEASE LIKE, SHARE AND POSSIBLY COMMENT FOR YOUR SUPPORT, IT DOES MEAN A LOT TO ALL PHARMACIES ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
