Today can be hard for people who lost a loved one in 2025, it can feel like they are leaving them behind. But I hope some, like the service I officiated last week some manage to remember them with a smile and step into the new year with happy memories looking to the future.
It was so lovely this morning to read this email, so thank you to them, it made the first day of the year special and reminded me why I do this. I am so blessed to be a part of their goodbyes.

They wrote,

Hi Sara

I just wanted to drop you a message to say thank you so much for yesterday. I can’t believe the amount of people that have messaged me saying how lovely the service was, it really did my father justice.

So thank you from us all, it really was so fitting for him.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas. It's a time to remember those who have gone before us, remember the Christmas they made you smile and the Christmas they made you laugh, for the time you shared was a blessing. 💐 Fathers Day 💐

We are inviting our local community to visit us and pay tribute to their father or father figure.

Sunday 15th June Our chapel will be open from 10am-12noon for a quiet moment of reflection.

💛Our remembrance gardens are open as usual throughout the weekend.

A lovely refurb at Llanelli Crematorium

New Voile curtain - The final refurb piece inside the chapel was completed this morning.

You can opt for the curtains to be fully closed, just the voile curtain to be closed or fully open, another of the uniquely personal service choices you can discuss with your funeral directors when making service arrangements ❤️

The situation is pretty awful at the moment, some families experiencing weeks of delays and unable to visit their loved ones before the funeral. I have experienced 5 and 6 week wait for funerals, totally unacceptable. I hope they sort this out soon, it's so distressing for families.

A week of sunshine and glorious memories of those who were dearly loved. Smiles and tears, families and friends coming together.
700 mourners at one, to just 5 at another, suicides, drifting off in their sleep or age catching up with them, they are all treasured, loved and will be dearly missed. Remember the smiles, talk of them often and cherish the moments you shared. Life is a blessing indeed, enjoy it as much as you can. Go and see where the path takes you. Xx
