On International Women’s Day we’re celebrating the women who make this work possible.

Behind this work is a small team of women; each of us bringing care, compassion and quiet strength to families at some of the hardest moments of their lives.

Supporting families through loss is never simple, but it is deeply meaningful work and I’m grateful to do it alongside other women.

Today we celebrate women everywhere who hold space, lead with empathy, supporting families and each other in work that truly matters.

From the bottom of our hearts we would like to say thank you for all the kind generous donations we had this year for our annual Christmas Present Collection for the The Salvation Army Llanelli Citadel Be A Star Christmas present appeal.

We had such an array of gifts to suit children of all ages from tabletop electronic games to electric toothbrushes, hardryers, books, smellies for boys and girls, make up , books, puzzles, gift cards and more!

This is our favourite part of the festive season, showing the true spirt of Christmas still abounds in our little town!

We are absolutely overwhelmed and blown away by the donation we received over the weekend by one of our regular supporters! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this absolutely outstanding act of generosity!

This lady collects all year long to support the Salvation Army Christmas present appeal!

She also gave Alex a huge donation towards her children’s Christmas Fayre raffle prizes and box and bottle stall! What an absolute superstar she is, every year we think she can’t top last year and every year she does!

We had some leaflets dropped into our office today, to give to families that may be looking for a venue that is able to hold a celebration of life/memorial/wake.

Llanelly house is available for hire and would make a beautiful setting.
