As a care worker, you will work with the residents closely on a daily basis, assisting them to live their lives to the full. You will assist them with all of their needs (including personal care) according to their wishes. Becoming a friend and having fun with them is one of the most important parts of the role.
Duties will include:
Ensuring health and wellbeing of residents.
Providing personal care and emotional support.
Participating in stimulating activities.
Involving residents in a person centred approach.
cleaning.
The Ideal Candidate:
A background of working within care is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from other senior staff and management is provided. More important are;
A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to peoples lives
A positive ‘can do’ attitude
A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player.
