Meet Sarah – Aesthetic Practitioner at Quayside Medical Aesthetics Llanelli.

Sarah is one of the newest members of the Quayside team, bringing extensive experience in both clinical nursing and skincare. A qualified nurse since 2016, she currently works in general practice and urgent care, with a strong grounding in injections, patient assessment, and anatomy.

Originally trained as a beautician with a speciality in skincare and facials, Sarah's passion for aesthetics has come full circle. Her journey from beauty therapy to nursing reflects her dedication to delivering both results and reassurance in every treatment.

At Quayside, Sarah offers anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers (lip and cheek), B12 shots, and under-eye skin boosters. Known affectionately by her friends and colleagues as a "skinfluencer," she combines clinical precision with a deep understanding of skin health.

✨Laser: The term “Laser” stands for “Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.” Laser devices emit a single, specific wavelength of light. They create a focused, coherent beam that can travel long distances.
✨IPL: “IPL” stands for “Intense Pulsed Light.” Unlike lasers, IPL devices emit a broad spectrum of wavelengths. While less focused, they offer versatility for various skin conditions.

➡️How They Treat Skin Conditions:
✨Laser: Different skin structures absorb light energy at specific wavelengths. By knowing which wavelength a particular skin component absorbs best, doctors can deliver laser energy precisely to heat the target structure while sparing nearby tissues. Lasers are commonly used to remove tattoo and semi-permanent make up (eyebrows).
✨IPL: Specific light filters can be used to select desired wavelengths. IPL is commonly used for permanent hair removal, facial vein reduction, pore size reduction, rosacea-related redness, pigmentation reduction, mild acne treatment, and overall skin tone improvement.
