Cymorth Llaw Ltd - North Wales' leading Domiciliary & Complex Care at home agency provides a range of services to a number of Individuals with complex care needs within North West Wales region of Gwynedd, Ynys Mon and Conwy.

We are a Family run Domiciliary care agency working across North West Wales. We have almost 25 years’ experience in providing high quality care and supporting staff in meeting and achieving their goals.

We are a family friendly, award-winning employer.

The Company is seeking ‘Experienced’ care staff to work between 7-hour and 12-hour day shifts and or Awaking nights.

Individuals care packages can range from either 1:1 or 2:1 staffing

- Part Time- or Full-time contracts are available and are able to offer hours that suit your needs
- Experienced candidates are preferable, NVQ / Diploma qualified, Moving and Handling manual handling passport trained very advantageous. Full training given including Induction, Support is also provided.
- Car driver would be preferable. However, non-drivers are welcome to apply as some care packages may be within reasonable distance from home.
- Staff paid full hourly rate for all training provided

£12.34 Per hour day rate (Monday to Sunday)
£138.80 paid per night (Awake)

Digitising Social Care have published new guidance on using AI in care delivery.

Many care providers already use AI in care delivery. This can include in:

- Sensor based technology and telecare
- Chat bots
- Facial recognition
- Data collection and analytics

The guidance gathers the findings of three meetings of care providers on best use of AI in care delivery.

These types of solutions can deliver improvements in the hands-on, immediate care to individuals in accommodation-based settings and can also deliver life-changing preventative and reactive care for people living in their own homes.

National Office in Wales publish first annual report
The National Office for Care and Support in Wales has published its first annual report. The report outlines the key work the office has undertaken over the last year with the aim to:

1. Support the Chief Social Care Officer for Wales.

2. Develop, implement and deliver the National Care and Support Service for Wales.

3. Implement and manage the National Commissioning Framework for Care and Support in Wales.

Report on the progress made in the National Office for Care and Support’s first year.

Social Care Wales are hosting ‘your well-being matters’ network sessions on Teams. They invite social care leaders to prioritise some time for themselves and join the network online. They will spend 2 hours together to consider how participants can gain more control of their life, to achieve a balance that will be positive for their teams, work setting and most importantly, themselves.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has updated their communications toolkit for 2025.

This toolkit communicates health information during hot spells to ensure timely delivery of the right messages to the right people. People who are more at risk of becoming unwell in hot weather include:

- Older people aged 65 years and over.
- People who live alone and may be unable to care for themselves.
- People with underlying health conditions particularly heart problems, breathing problems, dementia, diabetes, kidney disease, Parkinson’s disease, or mobility problems.
- People on certain medications.
- People with serious mental health problems.
- People who are already ill and dehydrated (for example from diarrhoea and vomiting), and more.

The material in the toolkit is largely the same as last year, with an additional section containing information on other hazards which can occur during the summer months including thunderstorm asthma, flash flooding and drought.

VE DAY 80th Anniversary - War in Europe 1939-1945

Today we honour the past and celebrate a future built on unity, hope, love and peace.

On 8th May 2025, people across the country will celebrate the historic 80th anniversary of VE Day, with the peoples, families and communities of our nation coming together to unite and celebrate 80 years of peace since the end of World War II in Europe that so many millions paid the ultimate sacrificed to achieve it.

It is a time when people come together and remember the many soldiers, sailors, and airmen who gave their lives restraining evil and opposing tyranny. It was the long-awaited moment which ended nearly 6 years of war. The conflict in Europe was over and people celebrated with happiness and rejoice.

It is also a time that to give thanksgiving for those who continue to strive for peace on this continent. We remember joyfully today, as those who gathered on that first victory day, glad of each other’s company, and grateful for the laughter and love that follows times of sadness and loss.

Many of the people we support today, lived through this period of turmoil and we give praise and thanks for their resolve and sacrifice in ensuring a lasting peace for all.

In which ever way you and your loved ones celebrate this momentous occasion, we remember the importance of reaffirming that we all must ensure a commitment to peace, ensuring future generations understand and cherish its value.
