Hello friends of Llangefni Saturdays Slimming World Group πŸ₯°. Pasg hapus! Yesterday, after group, we transformed our venue into an Easter event - and even the looming threat of Mr Dave Windy Pants (Storm Dave) couldn't dampen our day!

What a wonderful afternoon we shared, and we had a lovely community spirit vibe - much like our group of slimmers!

Your consultant was stressed behind her cool, calm, and collected exterior πŸ˜† but I think my dream of an inexpensive family fun day, raising funds for charity, letting folk know about Slimming World groups around Anglesey, making sure it was worthwhile for our brilliant stall holders AND that everyone enjoyed it, was realised.

Our tea bar, raffle, pocket money stand and ADFSR stall raised funds Β£260, plus surplus after venue hire from stall bookings of Β£50. A massive Β£310 in total for Anglesey & District Feline Support & Rescue

It's fair to say that our Llangefni Saturdays Slimming World Group is a family of sorts. There is a lovely friendly atmosphere, support, encouragement and fun.

So it was a difficult job for the group to pick our Two Together winners πŸ†. So many inspirational stories of friendship. So many heartfelt explanations of how having a slimming buddy motivates, encourages, and supports. Sometimes friends walk in together; and sometimes it's strangers who walk in - but everyone walks out as friends with a common goal.

Congratulations to NIA and SHARON in our 8am session, whose friendship has helped keep each other going through trickier times. They cheer each other on when they achieve successes πŸ“£πŸ‘

Congratulations to Gemma, ZOE, and JODIE in our 9.30am session. This trio are doing so well on their journeys and they are spurring each other on to keep going. Their sharing of meal ideas and activity is inspiring the rest of the group too.

I am so proud of these ladies, and every member of the Llangefni Saturday group. Together we really are doing this! πŸ’ͺ ✨️

Do you know that feeling when you stand on the scales SURE that its been a brilliant week, and certain that it's going to be a loss... only to find that it's a maintain.

Well that was me today, and miffed does not cover it! I sulked for a good TWO minutes. I've had no major blips this week. I've eaten brilliant meals. At the time, I felt like I'd bought something for Β£1 and been charged a tenner.

Now, it would've been easy to eat in retaliation. A one-woman protest, if you like. Except I really, really want that 2 stone. So I know that I have to keep going.

I have had a think about my week πŸ•΅β€β™€οΈπŸ•΅β€β™‚οΈ and there were a few days where I lost track of my healthy extras. And a few days where my speed free food wasn't great. And one day where I had a few chunky shortbread cookies. I might have gotten away with a few not-quite 100% days but..

I have a hot chocolate each evening. I never measure or weigh it. Not usually a problem because thats usually what I save my swips for (25g is 4 swips, but i like mine a bit more chocolatey, so my cup could be anything from 6-8 swips I reckon).

Add all these little crumbs together, and there's almost a Betty Crocker recipe! I have to say, the light bulbπŸ’‘ came on. So, this week its back to tracking properly, and that includes better planning of those SWIPs.

There ya have it folks, I've dusted down, and I'm ready to smash it πŸ’ͺ with a πŸ–Š and a πŸ“–

I will get that epic loss this week!

Well, it's group day πŸ₯°. It can be a day of celebrating the wins πŸ‘, or for reflecting on what went less well πŸ˜’. But we should never allow the past to be a stick to beat ourselves with. What is done, is gone, and only serves to help shape our next week's plan.

There always has to be a plan!

What has changed for me is that recently I stopped pressuring myself with thoughts of being absolutely perfect the following week, to get things 'right'. I discovered the thing that makes me want it - 12 week's of progress til the nice weather. I am not putting it off til the last minute to try and do something!

I cannot tell you how much the thought of feeling and looking better for summer means to me, but it is like a switch has been thrown. There's time to do this, and I want to. I really, really want to.

So guys, no matter where you are on the road, even if you've been parked up a while, think about that dream. See it in your mind. Feel it. If you're doing well, keep going. If you're needing to dust yourself down, do it.

MAKE THE COMEBACK STRONGER THAN THE SETBACK

Hello friends 🧑

What a difference a few days makes. No I'm not just talking weight here, I'm talking mindset. Sometimes the only way to get in the "right headspace" is not to quit, take a break, or wait for divine intervention (I've tried all three, to no avail).

The only way ever to get moving, is to actually roll your sleeves up and start doing the stuff you know you should be doing. It's a decision to start. A decision to take action. And the bit that none of us like - It's self-discipline to keep going (even when your inner toddler brain is screaming for treats it knows it deserves).

Its also saying if I slip, I'm getting straight back up again.

For me, my toddler brain [I want, I need, I deserve] is the hardest bit to overcome. But so far, so good - and I feel it! These new jeggings (bought from Holyhead Poundland before it closed 😩), did not fit. Today, they do. And my journey has only just begun - even if it is chapter 748!!πŸ˜†).

Toddler brain didnt get it's way, but adult brain got the best reward ever with this non-scales victory, and I feel incredibly motivated by this early progress.

Keep going, progress not perfection. Your why matters - for me it is fitting into clothes and feeling good!
