Below is an outline of the different yoga styles I teach and Yoga &
Sound events I regularly host:
💫 Kundalini Yoga 💫
Kundalini Yoga is an ancient practice for modern times which teaches the
art of self-healing, positivity and courage - it is a blueprint for
living a life that's happier, healthier and more in touch with your true
Self.
Kundalini Yoga is often known as the Yoga of Awareness or the Yoga of
Consciousness. The word ‘Kundalini’ itself, refers to an energy that we
all have, which lies dormant at the base of the spine. Once this energy
is stirred and activated, you cannot help but transform - feel lighter,
brighter, uplifted and more at peace. Kundalini Yoga will meet you where
you’re at and take you to where you want to go!
“In Kundalini yoga the most important thing is your experience. It goes
right to your heart. No words can replace that experience.” – Yogi
Bhajan
This style of yoga is a dynamic practice (yet can equally be a soft,
nourishing and restorative practice too). It combines asanas (postures),
pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation and sound (mantra),
incorporating all the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of yoga to
create one integrated and cohesive system.
Kundalini Yoga is for ANYONE & EVERYONE – of any age, any flexibility,
and so is suitable for complete beginners.
IT IS WELL WORTH A TRY ♥
🌻 YOGA FLOW CLASSES 🌻
Nicole's Yoga Flow classes, are a holistic, multi-style, Vinyasa-flow
style Yoga with added slower and longer-held postures towards the latter
part of the session. Sometimes described as a Vin to Yin (Vinyasa Yoga
to Yin Yoga) class. These sessions are enjoyable and offer yoga poses
and movements to strengthen, aid flexibility and restore the body and
mind in equal measure.
SUITABLE FOR ALL ABILITIES
🌕 Yin Yoga 🌕
Yin Yoga is a deeply restorative practice where each posture (asana) is
held for 3-5 minutes. Nothing too strenuous here! Yin yoga is mostly
floor-based and the idea is to allow everything to soften gradually into
the pose. Yin Yoga is deeply nourishing, not only for muscles, but also
for tendons, ligaments and joints. This style of Yoga can often be
related to TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine, due to the origins of this
practice). It is very healing for the body, helps to quieten the mind
and is one of the best ways to increase flexibility in the body.
SUITABLE FOR ALL ABILITIES
Great for those who may be looking for a slower, more meditative
practice.
✨ YOGA NIDRA & GONG SOUND BATH RELAXATION ✨
... Ideal for those who just want to lie down and soak up the healing
effects of a well-deserved rest! These sessions are run monthly by
Nicole in various locations. Here is an outline of what to expect in one
of these sessions:
A Yoga Nidra relaxation meditation to firstly allow the body to sink
into a restful space. Followed by a relaxation sound journey through the
sounds of the gongs, crystal and Tibetan singing bowls and chimes.
Allow yourself to get comfortable and cosy, as you are bathed in sound
waves. The majestic myriad of sounds created in a gong sound journey
meditation allow mind, body and spirit to heal, rest and rejuvenate.
Gong Sound baths help to alleviate symptoms of stress, anxiety,
depression and help to reduce inflammation in the body. And the beauty
of it is, is all that you need to do, is get yourself comfortable and
let the sounds to the rest!
A Gong bath is suitable for any age and body, (however, not recommended
during pregnancy and are not suitable for anyone with a pacemaker). No
prior experience required. Just bring yourself and allow yourself to
relax.
I really hope to welcome you to the mat for one or more of these events
soon! If you would like any further information, please message me
